Indian Women Dubai Awards 2024: A Night of Empowerment and Celebration

Dubai, UAE – September 15, 2024 – The city of Dubai was illuminated with inspiration and glamour last night as the Indian Women Dubai Awards 2024 unfolded on September 14. The event was a resounding success, celebrating the remarkable achievements of Indian women in the UAE and highlighting the power of unity and support within the community.

Inspiring Speeches from Visionary Women

The gala featured esteemed guests who shared powerful messages with the audience:

  • Mrs. Vandana Sudhir, wife of Ambassador Sunjay Sudhir, captivated attendees with insights on self-reflection and personal growth. “IWD is an incredible platform for women to find support and strength,” she noted, encouraging women to engage in journaling and centering themselves.

  • Bollywood actress Sameera Reddy, the guest of honor, shared her personal journey toward authenticity. “People assume that women judge each other when, in fact, the opposite is true. It’s women who support each other the most,” she remarked. Sameera encouraged women to embrace their true selves, stating that “it’s okay to be a little selfish” when it comes to personal well-being.

A Night of Unforgettable Highlights

The evening was enriched by captivating moments that left a lasting impression on all attendees. Fashion shows by designers Studio Blue, The Arab Crab and Clothing by Mint showcased stunning collections blending traditional elegance with contemporary flair. Adding to the enchantment, a special qawwali performance by the Children of Determination touched the hearts of the audience, demonstrating talent and resilience that resonated deeply with the event’s theme of empowerment.

Celebrating Excellence Across Diverse Fields

Over 30 awards were presented, honoring women who have excelled in fields such as technology, arts, entrepreneurship, healthcare, and more. The awardees exemplify the dedication and impact of Indian women contributing significantly to the UAE’s vibrant society.

A Testament to Community and Empowerment

Reema expressed heartfelt gratitude to her dedicated team and her husband for their unwavering support, stating, “When women support each other, incredible things happen; when men support women, IWD happens.”
