Free Food Sewa is an initiative by PADMAA FOUNDATION, based in India, started by a group of like-minded school friends Mr.Dinesh Sahrawat and Mr Umesh Awatramani, and aims at combating hunger by providing free meals to those in need. Sewa, a Sanskrit term that translates to ‘selfless service,’ forms the core ethos of this initiative.
What sets this movement apart is not just the act of giving, but the manner in which it is done – with love, respect, and a deep sense of empathy. Mr. Awatramani is a firm believer of the fact that beyond the physical nourishment provided by meals, they also seek to nourish the soul.
