The Brazilian authorities announced the death of the former Miss Brazil, Glessie Correa, at the age of 27, after unexpected complications during a normal operation to remove the tonsils.

Glessie Correa suffered a hemorrhage and a heart attack before falling into a coma in early April, just five days after the surgery, and authorities announced her death days ago.

The victim remained in a coma for two months before her death was announced on Monday. Her body was sent to the mortuary, according to the website “The Independent.”

Correa was born in Macae, a city on the Atlantic coast of Brazil, 200 kilometres northeast of Rio de Janeiro. She was crowned Miss Brazil in 2018.

The “Sun” newspaper reported that she has repeatedly spoken about her poor upbringing in Brazil, in numerous posts on her social media accounts.

Correa was a model, beautician, and influencer, with over 56,000 followers on Instagram.
