Dubai, UAE, 24 October 2024: Shamal, a diversified investment firm, born in Dubai, managing a global portfolio of investments, assets and experiences, has acquired a majority stake in The Espresso Lab, an award-winning specialty coffee brand known for its exceptional sourcing, roasting, and delivery of ultra-premium coffee.
Founded in 2015 by Emirati entrepreneur Ibrahim Al Mallouhi, The Espresso Lab has built a reputation for excellence in coffee craftsmanship, offering rare lots from the finest farmers and producers hand-picked from around the globe.
Precision roasted coffee is either sold directly to customers via the brand’s physical and online stores, or through its wholesale operations network. In addition to a retail outlet at its roastery in Al Quoz, the brand has outlets in Dubai Design District and Qasr Al Hosn in Abu Dhabi.
With its dedication to quality and detail, The Espresso Lab has become a favourite among coffee connoisseurs.
Shamal’s investment will fuel The Espresso Lab’s expansion, with plans to increase its retail footprint and roasting capacity.
