UAE’s Zainab Bu Hamda hogged the limelight on the second day of the IFMA World Championships after knocking out India’s Deepa Rajak in just over two minutes.
Competing in the 60kg Youth Division category event of the championships taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the Emirati delivered a flurry of strikes and a high kick directly to the skull of her Indian rival.
Zainab dominated the proceedings from the beginning.
Launching a barrage of punches, she twice pinned her opponent to the ropes before finishing with a devastating high kick.
“That was my coach’s directive, to attack from the start, and it worked out really well for me on the day,” said Zainab.
