Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 9, 2025 – The HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 is not your average outdoorsy smartwatch. Combining luxury craftsmanship with ceramic, zirconium-based liquid metal, and sapphire glass it rivals the sleekness of high-end swiss timepieces. Yet, it is also the new standard for outdoor wearable safety and reliability, thanks to a myriad of key technological innovations. And with those breakthroughs, the watch turns into an adventure buddy for the depth of the oceans to towering mountains.
New gap antenna system
Positioning accuracy is crucial for navigating trails and tracking workouts. The WATCH Ultimate 2 features a gap antenna system based on multi-segment micro-gap technology, which divides the zirconium-based liquid metal frame into a distinctive gap layout, resulting in a robust signal even in challenging outdoor environments. It also uses a smart antenna algorithm that optimizes signal strength and network connectivity in real time as you move. The watch’s Sunflower positioning is enhanced by dual-band, five-system GNSS support, enabling pinpoint accuracy and 3D distance calculations outdoors.
Expedition mode
The Expedition mode allows you to import custom routes and download offline maps. During your journey, the watch will track important metrics like heart rate, altitude, and air pressure. And if you need help returning to your starting point, the backtrack navigation feature can ensure that you’re never lost. There are even handy post-excursion summaries to help you relive the full glory of your outdoor adventure.
The WATCH Ultimate 2 is designed to keep you safe as well, with high-level features like fall detection, one-tap SOS messages, and high altitude monitoring, which are equipped to handle whatever hazards you might encounter.
The X-TAP sensor on the right incorporates ECG, PPG, and pressure sensors. Together with the super-sensing module on the watch’s back, they form a distributed TruSense System. Pressing down on the sensor for 3 seconds initiates a Health Glance check with a wide array of metrics. There’s also fingertip SpO2 monitoring, to help you track your SpO2 level in real time in high-altitude environments. This can ensure that you’re in tune with how your body is responding to newly challenging environments.
Two battery modes & smart battery management
The HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 comes with two battery modes. The Standard mode, which lasts up to 4.5 days on a full charge, and the Battery saver mode, which retains essential features and extends battery life. Switching between the two modes could hardly be easier. There’s also smart battery management to provide remaining battery life estimates when you start an activity or when the battery level is low.
The HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 embodies Huawei’s enormous progress in the field of wearable tech, with its zirconium-based Liquid Metal case, smooth sapphire glass, and innovative gap antenna system. The watch’s X-TAP sensor and two battery modes are designed to keep you safe and healthy, wherever the outdoors leads.
