The one thing Dubai never had in the world of combat sports has finally arrived. Welcome to the Vault Fight League (VFL) – Dubai’s very own MMA League. Bringing together an impressive international line-up of fighters. Creating an experience that goes well beyond the fight itself. And building a combat-sports brand that aims to travel the world.
If this sounds like the creation of a seasoned entrepreneur, you’re about to be even more surprised. The brains behind this ambitious venture – Zeyd Al Moosa – is only 18 years old! “I don’t want VFL to simply sign recognizable names. I want VFL to create names.” That philosophy sits at the heart of Zeyd’s company – Xeno Events Organizing & Managing L.L.C.

However, Zeyd is no rookie either. At an even younger age, he successfully ran a business trading Pokemon cards where he learned about marketing, negotiation, and the power of building communities. Later, he competed in volleyball, and eventually moved into Boxing and Muay Thai – mastering self-discipline and greatly appreciating the talent and sacrifice it takes to compete at the very top. And using all that experience, he is now launching an MMA championship on a global scale.
The stellar event, scheduled for 12 September 2026, will feature a world-class lineup of fighters headlined by Guram Kutateladze, Jeremy Kennedy, Alim Nabiev, and Mike Mathetha. Supported by Shakhzade Mirzaev, Yakub Sulimanov and Ndidi Alonu amongst others. VFL aims to combine elite competition with walkouts, lighting, music, production, storytelling and personalities – turning individual fights into stories that audiences can follow and remember.
The region is already rapidly becoming one of the most prized destinations for combat sports, hosting world-class events, bringing together passionate audiences and attracting huge investments. However, instead of simply bringing another international promotion to Dubai for a few nights, VFL aims to create a property that is born in Dubai and goes around the world.
VFL, though, isn’t just another MMA League. Its ambition is to create a platform for MMA in Dubai – one that discovers fighters, gives rise to stars, builds rivalries and offers fans an experience that goes well beyond the fight itself. In fact, Zeyd Al Moosa’s vision is to eventually create a Dubai-based mixed martial arts organisation that stretches far beyond a single event or a single city.
Experience is usually gleaned with years of understanding and patience. But sometimes, the biggest ideas come from those who see opportunities long before others do. VFL is one such vision – born from Dubai and built around a global ambition. Spearheaded by an 18-year-old who decided not to wait for the future of MMA to arrive – but to build it himself.
VFL 1 takes place on 12 September 2026, at The Arena, Dubai Media City Amphitheater, Dubai
