Tetr College of Business Launches Global Gap Year Program Across Nine Countries, Combining Entrepreneurship, Cultural Immersion and Real-World Learning

15th July 2026, Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Tetr College, a first-of-its-kind global B-school known for reimagining business education through immersive learning, has announced the launch of its Global Gap Year Program, a 40-week international experience designed to bring greater structure and purpose to the traditional gap year. Spanning China, Japan, Europe, Argentina, India, Kenya and Bali, the Gap Year Program combines practical entrepreneurial experiences, academic learning and cultural experiences within a globally immersive curriculum.

The program combines academic, business and cultural immersions across nine countries, creating opportunities for students to engage with a wide range of people, organisations and communities. Designed for students looking to explore entrepreneurial interests, gain international exposure and learn through real-world experiences, the program offers engagements with founders, cultural institutions, local communities and organisations such as Alibaba, Tesla, SoftBank, Mercari, LVMH and FITT-IIT Delhi.

A defining feature of the program is its focus on translating learning into action. Each destination within the program is designed around a distinct area of learning, exposing students to global supply chains and consumer markets in China, innovation ecosystems in Japan, the creator economy in Europe, sustainability-focused initiatives in Argentina, entrepreneurship and product development in India, and community-led tourism and wellness in Bali. Students undertake venture-building projects across multiple markets over the course of the program, supported by seed funding to develop and test their ideas in real-world environments. The program concludes with an internship at a growth-stage startup, offering an opportunity to work closely with founders and gain first-hand experience of how businesses are built and scaled.

Commenting on the launch, Tarun Gangwar, Co-Founder, Tetr College of Business said, “The idea behind the Global Gap Year Program was to rethink what a gap year could be. Instead of treating it as a pause between two stages of life, we wanted to create a year centred on building, experimenting and discovering. Whether students are exploring new cultures, working alongside founders or testing ideas in unfamiliar markets, the goal is to ensure that learning comes from participation, not just exposure.”

Tetr College’s undergraduate program has nurtured a growing portfolio of student-led ventures spanning AI, SaaS, consumer products and food & beverage. These include Fluma, an AI-driven influencer marketing platform; BluSpru, a SaaS solution focused on AI optimisation; ServeClub, a pickleball equipment brand; Meridian, a consumer hardware startup specialising in beverage technology; Jhatak, an Indonesian healthy snacks venture; and Nothing But, a clean-label food brand offering preservative-free alternatives. Collectively, these ventures have generated over USD 1 million in revenue and raised more than USD 500,000 in seed funding from international founders and venture capitalists. Students have also showcased their businesses to leaders at Reebok, Y Combinator Startup School, The Network School and Emirates, reflecting the real-world traction and global exposure built into the program.

Supporting this entrepreneurial journey is a network of global scholars, operators and industry leaders, including Dr. Edward Rogers, former Chief Knowledge Officer at NASA; Dr. Zal Phiroz of Harvard University; Mr. Stephane de La Faverie, Executive Group President at Estee Lauder; Mr. Nitin Gaur, former Advisory Board Member at Stanford University; and Mr. Manoj Kohli, former Country Head at SoftBank. Through partnerships with corporate organisations, investors and ecosystem stakeholders, students gain access to internships, live projects and industry immersions with companies such as Tesla, Alibaba, Google and Emaar, alongside cultural institutions including the Louvre and the Prado Museum. Together, these experiences combine academic learning with practical venture-building, cross-cultural exposure and real-world industry engagement across international markets.

Through the Global Gap Year Program, Tetr College aims to bring greater structure, purpose and real-world learning to the traditional gap year experience. The inaugural cohort is scheduled to commence in September 2026, with applications now open: https://tetr.com/gap-year-program#gapFormWrapper
