MEES 2026 returns to Dubai from 18–20 August 2026 with an expanded program of immersive experiences, industry-leading discussions, innovative content zones and the return of the Middle East Event Awards, welcoming over 6,000 professionals from across the region.

August 2026, Dubai, UAE: As the Middle East’s events industry continues to evolve amid changing audience expectations, new technologies and growing demand for more meaningful live experiences, the Middle East Event Show (MEES) 2026 returns this month as a key meeting point for the professionals, businesses and ideas shaping the sector’s next chapter.

Taking place from 18 to 19 August 2026 at Sheikh Maktoum Hall, Dubai World Trade Centre, MEES 2026 will bring together event organisers, agencies, venues, suppliers, technology providers, experiential specialists and industry leaders from across the region for two days of knowledge sharing, networking and industry collaboration.

This year’s edition will focus on some of the most significant developments influencing the future of events, from resilience and changing business models to artificial intelligence, audience engagement, workforce transformation and the continued importance of human connection.

At the heart of MEES 2026 is an extensive conference programme designed around the conversations currently shaping the industry. Through keynote presentations, panel discussions and expert led sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from regional and international leaders on how the sector is adapting and where new opportunities are emerging.

Among this year’s highlighted sessions are:

  • Built to Last: Resilience as the Events Industry’s New Standard, focusing on how businesses can adapt, strengthen their operations and prepare for the future in a changing industry.
  • The AI-Proof Industry? Why Events Might Be Technology’s Biggest Blind Spot, examining how artificial intelligence is reshaping the industry while exploring the elements of live experiences that technology cannot replicate.
  • Human to Human: What the Industry Is Really Thinking, discussing evolving attendee expectations and why authentic human connection remains central to successful events.
  • Freelance Under Pressure: The Future of Our Beloved Freelancers, addressing workforce challenges and the changing role of freelance professionals across the events ecosystem.
  • Marketing That Moves: Winning in the Algorithm Era, exploring how event brands can remain relevant, build communities and engage audiences in an increasingly digital environment.
  • Event Industry 2030: What Will Disappear? Looking ahead at the technologies, business models and industry practices expected to evolve or disappear over the coming years.

The progam will feature an impressive lineup of regional and international industry leaders, including Azza Hegazi, Head of Global Experiences at Snapchat, who leads experiential initiatives for one of the world’s leading technology companies and will share perspectives on creating meaningful brand experiences.

She will be joined by Cosmin Ivan, CEO of Platinumlist, who will discuss audience behaviour, technology and the future of event ticketing; Iyad Rasbey, Vice President, Destination Tourism Development at Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, who will explore the growing role of events in destination development and tourism; Priya Patel, Head of Communications at Coca-Cola Arena, who will bring a focus on mental wellbeing and the pressures faced by professionals in the events industry; and Shea Bennett of Identity Middle East, sharing expertise on delivering major experiential projects and impactful live experiences across the region.

Interactive Learning Experience

Beyond the main conference programme, MEES 2026 will expand its focus on practical industry learning through the Workshop Zone, developed in partnership with The Events Group (TEG).

The dedicated space will give attendees the opportunity to move beyond traditional presentations and participate in more interactive, practical sessions designed around the challenges and opportunities facing event professionals today, with workshops covering key topics including AI, ESG and creative strategy.

The Workshop Zone complements the wider MEES programme by creating another environment for professionals to exchange knowledge, develop practical skills and engage directly with industry peers and experts.

Amar Daginawala, Exhibition Director of MEES, said:
“MEES has always been about bringing the industry together, but this year we are taking that conversation further. The events sector is evolving quickly, from the technologies we use to the expectations of audiences and clients, and it is important that the industry has a place to openly discuss those changes, learn from one another, and explore what comes next. MEES 2026 brings together the people shaping that future and creates an environment where ideas can turn into meaningful connections and opportunities.”

The strength of MEES 2026 is also reflected in the support of its industry partners, whose expertise spans production, equipment, experiential solutions and event technology.

Shams Moloo, Chief Development Officer from THA by ARMONIA, said:
“MEES is where our industry comes together, so it’s where we wanted to show who we’ve become. The talent that made THA a trusted name in this region is our greatest asset, and our ambition is to put it on the world stage: staffing global events, serving luxury brands and destinations, and proving that excellence built in the GCC travels. We’re not walking into MEES as a staffing agency; we’re walking in as a partner with a vision that stretches well beyond our home market.”

Cristina Achim, Head of Product Management from Visit by GES, said:
“MEES brings together a community that is actively shaping the future of events, and we are pleased to be part of it again in 2026. As the industry enters its next chapter, reconnecting in person gives us an important opportunity to exchange ideas, understand changing expectations and explore how technology and expert support can create more valuable experiences for organisers, exhibitors and visitors.”

Daniel Andrews, CEO from PurpleGlo, said:
“MEES has always been an important part of PurpleGlo’s story, so returning as Lead Technology Partner ten years on feels particularly meaningful. The industry has evolved, but one thing remains constant: great experiences start with people. Technology plays an important role, but it is creativity, storytelling, and an understanding of human behavior that brings experiences to life. MEES 2026 gives us the opportunity to share that thinking, introduce the next chapter of PurpleGlo and reconnect with the community that has been part of our journey.”

With its combination of expert led content, practical learning, industry networking and conversations around the future of the sector, MEES 2026 will provide event professionals with an opportunity to exchange ideas, discover new approaches and build relationships across the Middle East’s growing events ecosystem.

MEES 2026 will take place on 18 and 19 August 2026 at Sheikh Maktoum Hall, Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, UAE.
