Enjoy 10 days of free cooking workshops for children aged 2–14, from 9–18 October 2026.

Aprons on, creativity ready! Mercato is serving up a delicious helping of family fun as Junior Chefs returns for Season 2 from 9–18 October 2026. Budding young cooks aged 2–14 years are invited to roll up their sleeves and explore the joy of cooking through a programme of free, hands-on workshops.

From creating crêpes and making mini pizzas to decorating cupcakes and discovering fresh pasta, each day brings a new culinary adventure. Designed to spark curiosity and encourage creativity, the workshops give children the chance to try something new and enjoy the satisfaction of making their own edible creations.

This season brings together Petits Chefs Dubai, Society Hub, Tavola, Sumo Sushi & Bento and Le Creuset, with a varied menu of activities tailored to younger and older children.

The fun begins on 9 October with Crêpe Creations, followed by mini pizza and mini manakish making over the opening weekend. Aspiring bakers can get creative with Tavola’s cupcake piping and decorating workshop on 12 October, before another round of mini pizza making on 13 October.

On 14 October, Sumo Sushi & Bento will introduce children aged 6–14 to sushi making, while little ones aged 2–5 enjoy cupcake decorating. Le Creuset takes over on 15 October, with fresh pasta making for the older age group and chocolate balls for younger participants.

The final weekend promises plenty more delicious discoveries, with Chocolate Creations on 16 October, playful Pizza Faces on 17 October, and cookie decorating and fruit tartlet filling on 18 October.

With sessions running each afternoon and evening, families can add a little culinary creativity to their visit and make lasting memories together at Mercato.

Daily Workshop Times

  • Ages 6–14: 4:00–4:30 PM | 5:30–6:00 PM | 7:30–8:00 PM
  • Ages 2–5: 4:45–5:15 PM | 6:30–7:00 PM
  •

Participation is free, with places available on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to 15 children per session. Terms and conditions apply.

Bring your little foodies to Mercato this October—there’s something delicious waiting to be discovered every day!
