Amazon has a new restaurant delivery partner for Prime members, and it’s Uber Eats. You can now order food from Uber Eats from the Amazon website and Shopping app. As a Prime member, you won’t pay a delivery fee as long as your order is $25 or more.
This also ends Amazon’s partnership with Grubhub. According to TechCrunch, Prime members will lose their Grubhub+ access on Thursday, and you can no longer order from Grubhub through Amazon. Grubhub has confirmed the split as well.
The setup is simple. You don’t need the Uber Eats app or an Uber account. Sign in with your Amazon account, pick a nearby restaurant, and pay with a card you’ve already saved on Amazon. Amazon will send delivery updates to your email and phone, while Uber Eats sends the final order confirmation.
Is it available in your area?
The benefit is live in close to 10,000 communities across the US, including Atlanta, Los Angeles, Oak Park in Illinois, and Boardman, Oregon. You can order from a few hundred thousand restaurants, from chains like Chipotle, Wingstop, and Sweetgreen to local spots like Aga’s Restaurant in Houston. Members on the discounted Prime for Young Adults and Prime Access plans get it too.
Will it save you money?
Your first two Uber Eats orders of at least $25 will get $20 off if you place them within 14 days. Prime Visa cardholders will also get 5% back on Uber Eats orders until December 5, 2026.
Amazon claims these perks could save you over $175 a year, which is enough to cover a year of Prime. Prime members also get free same-day delivery on fresh grocery orders above $25 from Amazon Grocery, so your dinner and groceries can come from the same app.
