When robotic mowers arrived on the scene, they promised a future where you could just set them up and forget, as the machine took care of your lawn. That didn’t quite pan out. Caring for a lawn is a tedious chore that involves plenty of noise, labor, and lost hours. And let’s not forget, even with advanced robotic mowers, you still have to deal with manual installation of wires, take care of inclines, worry about pet safety, cutting concerns, and a bunch of other factors.

This is where Mova comes into the picture with its LiDAX Ultra series of robotic lawn mowers. Crowned as the World’s No. 1 LiDAR-powered Robotic Lawn Mower Brand of 2025 by Frost & Sullivan, the latest from Mova redefines the lines of performance and convenience. The LiDAX Ultra 1000 and LiDAX Ultra 2000 stand out as autonomous lawn care solutions that adapt to the surroundings, instead of burdening users with redesigning their yard and making adjustments just to deploy autonomous lawn mowers.

Mova has historically focused on creating lawn care solutions that can save your precious time, cut down on effort, and minimize friction. The MOVA 600 and 1000 robotic mowers proved that the vision can be achieved. At CES 2026, the LiDAX Ultra 1000 and LiDAX Ultra 2000 laid the groundwork for an entirely new future for robotic lawn mowers that solve crucial pain points for every person who has dreamed of a pristine green space but held back by the sheer amount of technical work and time it requires.

Two formats, one vision

After testing a variety of lawn mowers over the years, it became quite apparent that readying the green space was a requisite, even before one can deploy them. Mova wants to change that perspective, once and for all, with the new LiDAX Ultra series robotic lawn mowers, which acclimate to the world around and get work done with minimal preparation and manual input.

The LiDAX Ultra 1000 model is suited for lawns spanning an area of up to 0.25 acres, while the LiDAX Ultra 2000 trim can handle green spaces spanning across 0.5 acres. Moreover, with this model, users can tap into the convenience of optional 4G connectivity and draw the benefits of an extended operational runtime.

A pick without any compromises

Beyond the coverage area differences, both these machines rely on Mova’s widely acclaimed UltraView 2.0 sensing system, tagging alongside other standout perks such as a totally wire-free setup, AI-assisted area mapping, and top-of-the-line cutting hardware that has carved a solid reputation for Mova’s lawn care solutions. In a nutshell, you don’t necessarily have to lose out on features while picking between these two models.

Coming to the performance aspect, Mova’s highly-regarded UltraTrim 1.0 tech ensures precise cutting around the edges using a movable cutting disc. It works in two-phase approach. In the first, the blade disc is retracted and the mower moves within 2-inches proximity of a wall. In the return leg, the disc extends by an equal distance to perform edge trimming. With a 7.9-inch cutting width and an adjustable height range of 1.2-3.9 inches, the LiDAX Ultra series delivers plenty of cutting versatility, and all of it can be adjusted using the mobile app. All you need is awareness of your lawn space, and make an informed choice based on the area.

No boundaries, no setup hassles

The internet is brimming with complaints on product forums where buyers often complain about the installation requirements. You are tasked with setting up a physical boundary, installing RTK stations, and taking a few other precautions that require plenty of planning, calibration, and sheer work. But Mova has already been guided by the vision that technology should be an enabler and add to the convenience, instead of burdening an average lawn enthusiast with more prep work. The LiDAX Ultra Series is the culmination of years’ worth of research and development, maturing into a lawn care machine that is ready to deploy without any mechanical or deep technical workarounds involved.

Leading the charge is the AI-assisted auto mapping system. In a matter of a few minutes, users can set up the entire mowing area and feed it to the system. You don’t have to deal with installing boundary wires, struggle with RTK antennas, or deal with signal beacons. With Mova’s LiDAX Ultra series robotic lawn mowers, all you need to do is unbox them, position the charging station, and let the machine scan the surroundings. Using the MOVA home app, all the environmental scans are turned into a detailed 3D map with centimeter-level accuracy.

Taking away the prep problem

Mova set out to eliminate the hours of hands-on setup required for traditional lawn mowers, and with the LiDAX Ultra series, it has achieved that elusive goal. For an average lawn enthusiast, they no longer have to be on the fence about complex setups and steep learning curves. They finally have a product that doesn’t need a technician to get it set up and running, or requires carving out hours from a busy schedule. The best part? It is adaptable to change. In the future, if you change the look of your lawn, add more flower beds, or move around other elements, you won’t have to worry about remapping it. Simply head over to the companion mobile app, and update the route.

Seeing and moving, just like you

For years, navigation has been a crucial problem for machines. They simply don’t look at the work the way humans do. Robotic lawn mowers are no exception. But thanks to advancements in sensor technology and computer vision algorithms, machines can finally make sense of the world around them. And to some extent, they can even see beyond what human vision can accomplish. Mova has been at the vanguard of sensor advancements, and with the LiDAX Ultra series, it is delivering the most advanced sensing stack to date on a robotic lawn mower.

Say hello to the in-house UltraView 2.0 sensing system, which pairs cutting-edge 360-degree 3D LiDAR vision with an AI-boosted HDR camera for color vision. But why a multi-sensor approach, one might ask? Well, unlike a flat pavement or indoor floor, a lawn space is a messy landscape in more ways than your eyes can perceive. Aside from the obvious obstacles such as debris, moving objects, and terrain challenges, you also have shadows and dynamic lights that change how the space is perceived by a moving machine.

Smart sensing, intelligent autonomy

Thanks to the UltraView 2.0 sensing system, the LiDAX Ultra series robotic lawn mowers create a live 3D depth map of your lawn that allows them to effortlessly navigate the entire mapped area. Thanks to the 3D LiDAR system, these mowers offer 360-degree spatial awareness and can reliably detect objects in the 230ft range. Whether it’s sharp corners, uneven terrain, or dark areas, the lawn mower will move around and get its cleaning job done without any operational headache. The Mova machines can do it all while keeping the noise levels under the 60dB range, ensuring a quiet operation without disturbing the tranquility of your home.

Adding to the convenience is the dual-map management, which allows the mower to handle multiple lawn layouts, each with its unique cutting preference, zoning, and schedule. You simply have to feed the requirements, specify no-touch zones, and even set no-cutting zones to achieve the perfect look for your lawn. Mova’s latest offerings can handle slopes of up to 24-degree inclination, navigate around obstacles up to 1.6 inches in height, and squeeze through passages that are as narrow as 23.6 inches. As far as cutting efficiency goes, you can get a flush cut (0-edge) against hardscapes and trims within 2 inches of vertical obstacles.

Technology that works with you

In a nutshell, you finally have a lawn machine that doesn’t need babysitting. It’s at your disposal without requiring deep supervision. Performance and convenience have been the driving principles at Mova, but safety has always remained a paramount consideration. Using a hybrid AI vision and 3D point cloud data system, the LiDAX Ultra series robotic lawn mowers can sense and safely work around 300 types of obstacles, ranging from small animals to inanimate installments.

The Animal Friendly Modes combine low-speed cutting and navigation with the convenience of setting up animal activity zones on the 3D map, and scheduled do-not-disturb routines, as well. The built-in weather-sensing system can automatically pause and resume operations, while the IPx6-cleared engineering ensures that the lawn mowers can handle cleaning and water exposure without any risks.

Furthermore, with lift alarms, app alerts, and optional GPS tracking, you get added peace of mind. Or as the brand puts it — less supervision, easier setup, and fewer factors to worry about. The LiDAX Ultra 1000 and 2000 models are available starting today. Through February 12th, you can avail a free blade kit and an extra $100 off with the special promo code LIDAX100OFF. On the LiDAX Ultra 2000, you can score an extra $200 in savings using the LIDAX200OFF code when purchased through Amazon and Mova’s official website.
