Abu Dhabi University Unveils 17 Future-Forward Programs Across Diverse Disciplines

  • The introduction of these programs reflects ADU’s strategic focus on cultivating a diverse and dynamic educational portfolio, encompassing vital areas such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy, cybersecurity, fintech, intelligent systems and digital transformation

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 22 April 2025: In line with its commitment to academic excellence, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has announced the launch of 17 new academic programs set to commence in the Fall Semester of 2025/2026. The new programs spanning undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels have been curated to address emerging global challenges and opportunities, receiving accreditation by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) in the UAE.

The introduction of these programs reflects ADU’s strategic focus on cultivating a diverse and dynamic educational portfolio, encompassing vital areas such as international relations, psychology, public health, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, cybersecurity, cyber law, fintech, intelligent systems and digital transformation.

Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University, said: “By embedding these disciplines into our curriculum, the university continues to strengthen its commitment to providing a multidisciplinary, high-quality education that aligns with UAE’s national priorities and positions the institution as a leader on the global academic stage. ADU is constantly aligning its curricula with the latest developments in science and technology among others to equip students with the knowledge and competencies needed to lead in their chosen fields and drive meaningful impact in the region and beyond.”

At the undergraduate level, ADU will offer five new programs: the Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Bachelor of Arts in Video Game Design, Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, and Bachelor of Science in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering. These programs are designed to equip students with foundational and transformative skills that respond to the evolving demands of the global workforce, while nurturing critical thinking, creativity, and innovation.

The University is also expanding its postgraduate offerings with eight specialized programs tailored to meet emerging industry needs. These include the Master of Science in Fintech, Master of Science in Strategic Digital Transformation, Master of Education in Educational Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, Master of Law in Cyberlaw and Artificial Intelligence, Master of Science in Public Health, Master of Arts in Digital Communication and Technology, Master of Science in Cybersecurity, and Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence. Each program is developed to offer students advanced knowledge and practical skills that prepare them to thrive in high-growth sectors and contribute to the UAE’s knowledge-based economy.

Marking a significant milestone in the University’s academic journey, ADU is introducing four doctoral programs. The new PhD programs include the Doctor of Philosophy in Law, Doctor of Philosophy in Education, Doctor of Philosophy in Intelligent Systems Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Management. This marks the first time that the College of Engineering, College of Arts, Education and Social Sciences, and College of Law will offer doctoral-level studies, strengthening the University’s position as a center for research, innovation, and academic leadership.

Through this strategic expansion, ADU amplifies its role as an incubator of innovation and academic excellence as well as solidifying its position as a global beacon of higher education. This trajectory plays a pivotal role in fulfilling the UAE’s aspirations for sustainable development and empowering future generations to shape the world.
