Ahmed Selim: Director of Human Resources Leading Organizational Growth at Jannah
Jannah Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Ahmed Selim as the new Director of Human Resources. With more than 17 years of progressive experience in human capital management, organizational development, and multi-unit hospitality leadership across the UAE and internationally, Ahmed brings a strong people-first vision and a proven track record in transforming HR functions across complex operations.
Ahmed joins Jannah following his role as Human Capital Director at Erth Abu Dhabi, where he oversaw a diverse workforce of more than 4,000 employees spanning luxury hotels, corporate catering operations, fitness and wellness facilities, and Michelin-starred dining venues. Leading a team of 58 HR professionals, he successfully delivered large-scale transformation projects, including strategy redesign, organizational restructuring, KPI alignment, and group-wide digital HR modernization.
During his tenure at Erth, Ahmed also played a pivotal leadership role in national initiatives, most notably spearheading HR planning and workforce readiness for COP28 UAE, one of the country’s most extensive hospitality workforce programs. His achievements further include modernizing HR governance frameworks, implementing advanced self-service systems, enhancing employee experience programs, and establishing robust HR policies and capability-building initiatives.
Before joining Erth, Ahmed spent nearly a decade with Rixos Hotels – Accor in senior HR leadership roles, including Director of Talent & Culture. His responsibilities spanned talent management, succession planning, performance frameworks, learning and development, accommodation strategy, and employee engagement across multi-property luxury environments.
Known for his strategic mindset and deep expertise in UAE labor law, Ahmed is recognized for building empowered, engaged, and high-performing teams while aligning HR strategy with organizational goals. Fluent in Arabic and English, he brings strong cultural insight and a commitment to fostering people-centric workplaces that support operational excellence and long-term business growth.
Ahmed’s appointment marks an important addition to the Jannah Hotels & Resorts leadership team as the company continues to strengthen its organizational culture, enhance employee experience, and prepare for a new phase of growth in 2025 and beyond.
