A man infected with H5N2 bird flu, the first confirmed human infection with the strain, died from multiple factors, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday, June 7, adding that investigations were ongoing. William Anders, the former US astronaut who took the historic “Earthrise” photo during NASA’s Apollo 8 mission in 1968, died in a plane crash on Friday at the age of 90, his family said.
