The Netherlands can continue to deliver parts for F-35 fighter jets being used by Israel in the Gaza Strip, after a Dutch court Friday threw out a case brought by a group of human rights organisations. The district court in The Hague said that supplying the parts was primarily a political decision that judges should not interfere with. “The considerations that the minister make are to a large extent of a political and policy nature and judges should leave the minister a large amount of freedom,” the court ruled. The organisations, including the local branch of Amnesty International, had argued…
India achieved their ambition of playing fearless cricket in their crushing 106-run victory over South Africa to share the three-match series 1-1 at The Wanderers on Thursday, captain Suryakumar Yadav said. After the first game of the series was washed out due to rain, India needed victory to square the series having lost by five wickets in the second game on Tuesday. Having lost the first game after batting first, England skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and opted to field but his bowlers had no answer to the power of opener King who stayed unbeaten on 82 off 52 deliveries. In response, Sam Curran (50) was the only England batter to build on his start while Alzarri Joseph picked up three top-order wickets as…

As a young girl, I had often watched in amazement at the beautiful airhostesses as they walked through airports and brought me food (and sometimes toys) on a flight. I thought it was the best job in the world — to be able to travel all around the world. On Thursday, I got to experience the nitty gritty nuances of being an airhostess, albeit virtually. This was at the Emirates Group’s newly unveiled innovation hub, Ebdaa. With VR glasses over my eyes and holding the controllers, I prepared coffee and handed out blankets with ease. The experience was part of…
