Air strikes in eastern Syria “likely” launched by Israel on Saturday killed at least 19 pro-Iran fighters, a war monitor said, updating an earlier toll. Various parts of the UAE will witness fog from Saturday night to Sunday morning, according to an alert issued by the UAE weather body. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said there would be a chance a fog formation in the country, with a deterioration of horizontal visibility. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence apprehended a man at Mumbai’s Air Cargo Complex for allegedly smuggling cigarettes worth Rs24 million, a DRI release said. “Based on the intelligence of suspected smuggling of cigarettes through the Air Cargo route, an import consignment at the Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai, was intercepted on December 29 by the officers of DRI,” said the release.
