A passenger was nabbed while attempting to smuggle 8.9kg of marijuana through Dubai International Airport. The passenger was travelling from an Asian country and was undergoing a security check when officials thought that the bag had unusual density. Middle Eastern carriers are expected to post a combined net profit of $3.1 billion in 2024, a rise of 4.8 per cent from 2023 estimates, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) said on Wednesday. “The Middle East is expected to deliver a strong financial performance in both 2023 and 2024.
