The 2024 Fiat 500e marks the return of an EV that its maker once asked Americans not to buy. Fiat certainly thought the timing wasn’t right for that original 500e, but the timing of the new version, which is scheduled to arrive in early 2024, seems impeccable. The first Fiat 500e was sold only in California and Oregon, and was built purely to satisfy California’s zero-emission vehicle mandate. Early EV enthusiasts liked it, thanks to an affordable price and retro styling carried over from a concurrent gasoline 500 model. But Sergio Marchionne, then head of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (the predecessor…

According to legal experts, the amendment in federal law has ushered in ‘groundbreaking changes’, signifying a notable shift in the country’s approach to reproductive techniques. Surrogacy is a process in which a woman agrees to carry and deliver a baby for a couple or an individual. “Notable amendments (in UAE law) include extending medically assisted reproduction techniques (IVF) to non-Muslim parties without a marriage certificate, permitting surrogacy, and allowing unmarried couples access to…

The initial quake and a magnitude 3.0 aftershock were not related to volcanic activity, the statement said. “Aftershocks will likely continue, some large enough to be felt locally. We see no detectable changes in activity at Kilauea as a result of these earthquakes,”…
