Dubai Land Department Showcases Integrated Model for Real Estate Regulation and Digital Transformation in London

Dubai, UAE – 11 September 2026: Dubai Land Department (DLD) showcased Dubai’s integrated approach to real estate market development during its participation in ‘PropTech Connect Europe 2026’, held in London on 9 and 10 September. The Department highlighted a model that brings together regulation, property registration, market data, digital services and artificial intelligence within a connected ecosystem designed to support the real estate investment journey.
DLD highlighted Dubai’s continued progress in using technology to strengthen the market’s operational and regulatory infrastructure. Key areas included automating project registration, real estate transactions, and escrow account management, as well as data integration and the development of AI-enabled services. The Department also showcased opportunities for international PropTech companies to develop and scale solutions within Dubai’s real estate market.
The participation supports the objectives of the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, while building momentum towards the second edition of ‘PropTech Connect Middle East’, which Dubai will host on 3 and 4 February 2027.
The DLD delegation included Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Corporate Support Sector; Mohammed Yahya, Director of the Real Estate Transactions Department; and Talal Al Suwaidi, Project Manager at Dubai Land Department. The programme featured a dedicated DLD pavilion, specialised panel sessions and meetings, and a workshop focused on future opportunities in Dubai and pathways for international PropTech companies to contribute to the development of the local ecosystem. The participation also included bilateral meetings and private discussions with representatives from the City of London, alongside the signing of memoranda of understanding.
DLD’s pavilion provided a platform for direct engagement with investors, technology companies, entrepreneurs and decision-makers, showcasing the regulatory and digital environment that supports Dubai’s real estate investment journey. It also highlighted opportunities for collaboration in areas including artificial intelligence, data integration, process automation and advanced analytics, as well as the development of solutions that enhance transaction efficiency and customer experience across the real estate lifecycle.
A Comprehensive Vision for Market Resilience
Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Corporate Support Sector at Dubai Land Department, participated in a session titled ‘Rapid Transformations: How Economic and Geopolitical Dynamics Are Reshaping Real Estate Strategies’. He outlined the factors supporting the resilience of Dubai’s real estate market and its capacity for sustained growth amid global shifts, guided by the vision and proactive direction of Dubai’s leadership and supported by clear regulation, reliable data, seamless transactions, property rights protection and integrated digital services.
Al Marri emphasised that Dubai’s appeal as a real estate investment destination is underpinned by a long-term vision that combines effective regulation, advanced digital services, reliable market data and strong public-private collaboration. He added that DLD’s participation in PropTech Connect Europe sends a clear message to international PropTech companies: Dubai provides an environment where promising solutions can be tested, applied and scaled within a dynamic real estate market.
Al Marri also participated in a workshop exploring opportunities for international PropTech companies to engage with Dubai’s real estate ecosystem. The session highlighted the role of the ‘Dubai PropTech Hub’ and the ‘REACH Middle East’ programme in connecting global innovation with market needs and supporting the development of promising solutions into practical applications.
The workshop also showcased the ‘First Time Home Buyer programme, which has attracted more than 45,000 registrants and enabled over 3,200 residents to purchase their first homes in Dubai.
Technologies Responding to the Expectations of the Next Generation
Mohammed Yahya, Director of the Real Estate Transactions Department at Dubai Land Department, participated in a session exploring the changing expectations of buyers and investors.
The discussion addressed the evolving concept of real estate value, which increasingly extends beyond the property itself to include community quality, access to services, information transparency, digital connectivity and the efficiency of the home-buying journey.
Yahya highlighted the importance of stronger integration among developers, regulators, banks, brokers and technology companies to unlock greater value from data across the real estate lifecycle.
He also showcased the ‘Initial Registration’ platform, which brings together project registration, real estate transactions and escrow account management within an integrated digital journey supported by AI and automation. He further highlighted the Dubai REST app and other digital services that enhance access to real estate information and services.
Partnerships Connecting London and Dubai
DLD’s participation also included an exclusive Dubai VIP dinner that brought together a select group of investors, innovators and industry leaders. The event created a platform for deeper dialogue around collaboration opportunities and long-term partnerships, connecting global capital, expertise and innovation with Dubai’s real estate ecosystem.
Dubai hosted the inaugural edition of ‘PropTech Connect Middle East’ in February 2026 in partnership with Dubai Land Department, attracting more than 3,000 participants and over 300 speakers. The partnership will continue with the second edition in February 2027, bringing together PropTech companies, developers, investors, and regulators to exchange expertise, explore collaboration opportunities, and help shape the future of the real estate sector.–
