Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 2 October 2025 – Registrations are now open for the iconic Dubai Ride, presented by DP World – an exclusive opportunity to pedal through the heart of the city during this year’s Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), and experience one of the world’s most unique cycling routes.

On 2 November 2025, the region’s largest community cycling event will headline the opening weekend of DFC, setting the stage for a month packed with fitness and fun across the Emirate. Now in its sixth edition, the first of four flagship events this month will see thousands of cyclists of all ages and abilities take over the city’s streets, riding past iconic landmarks such as the Museum of the Future, Dubai Water Canal, and the Burj Khalifa – creating an unforgettable celebration of community, movement, and city pride.

As one of the most-loved events on the DFC calendar, Dubai Ride is more than just a cycling event – it’s a celebration of togetherness, especially fitting in the UAE’s “Year of Community” in 2025. It’s a chance for participants to smash their 30×30 goals, just as an incredible 37,130 cyclists did last year.

Participants are invited to “Find Your Challenge,” with routes designed for all cycling enthusiasts, including riders of determination and varying abilities. Choose the scenic 12km route along Sheikh Zayed Road or enjoy the family-friendly 4km loop through Downtown Dubai, while a specially supported entry point is available for People of Determination, accommodating hand cycles, tandem bikes, and adapted bicycles.

Building on last year’s success, Dubai Ride Speed Laps returns – an exclusive opportunity for advanced cyclists to push your limits and experience the thrill of high-speed cycling along the iconic Dubai Ride route. Taking place on the 12km course, Speed Laps offers a rare chance to ride at pace on Sheikh Zayed Road. This ride is reserved for advanced cyclists who must maintain a minimum speed of 30km/h, use a racer bike capable of sustaining this pace, and follow instructions from Dubai Ride Marshals. After completing your ride, you can join family and friends for the main event. Registrations for Speed Laps go live on 6 October.

As a participant, you’ll receive individual bibs for both Dubai Ride and Dubai Ride Speed Laps. You can pick these up at the Dubai Municipality 30×30 Fitness Village Zabeel Park, your hub for all things running and cycling from 29 October to 1 November.

His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, stated: “Each year, Dubai Ride, presented by DP World, continues to unite thousands of participants from across all walks of life and nationalities, brought together by a shared passion for cycling, fitness, and wellbeing. Since its inaugural edition, Dubai Ride has seen an impressive 85% increase in participation – a testament to the growing enthusiasm for active living across the city. As one of the key highlights of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, this sixth edition holds special meaning as we celebrate the UAE’s ‘Year of Community’ – reinforcing our commitment to fostering togetherness, improving quality of life, and positioning Dubai as one of the world’s most active cities. Beyond the physical activity, participants create lasting memories and inspire a global audience with powerful messages of health, joy, and active living.”

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, added: “Dubai Ride, presented by DP World, has become one of the most anticipated moments of the Dubai Fitness Challenge calendar, drawing residents and visitors together in a truly unique setting. As we celebrate the sixth edition in the UAE’s ‘Year of Community’, the event highlights how sport and fitness can unite people of all ages and abilities, creating shared moments of pride and achievement. This year’s return of the thrilling Speed Laps adds an exciting dimension, giving cyclists the opportunity to push their limits while enjoying an unforgettable experience on Dubai’s iconic roads.”

Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC, commented: “Dubai Ride is a celebration of health, community and the spirit of our city. As presenting partner, DP World is proud to encourage our people and the wider community to embrace active lifestyles. Cycling down Sheikh Zayed Road, past Dubai’s most iconic landmarks, is a highlight of the challenge each year and we are proud to continue our support for such a positive and inclusive experience.”
