Although Samsung has yet to lift the covers off the Galaxy S26 series, leaks about its 2027 flagship have already started surfacing. Last week, a report suggested a major camera overhaul for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, and now a new leak has revealed some details about its camera setup.
Trusted leaker Ice Universe recently claimed that the Galaxy S27 Ultra could come with new main, ultrawide, and selfie cameras. While specifics about the ultrawide and selfie cameras are still under wraps, the tipster has now revealed that the device might feature a new Samsung ISOCELL sensor with the model number S5KHP6, likely called the ISOCELL HP6.
Although it will be a 200MP sensor, like the ISOCELL HP2 found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it will reportedly bring new technologies that could significantly improve image quality. Like the previous leak, this new information should be taken with a grain of salt since the Galaxy S27 series is over a year away and likely in early development.
The spotlight is currently on the Galaxy S26 Ultra
For now, attention remains on the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, which is expected to launch later this month or early next month. Rumors suggest that the top-end Galaxy S26 Ultra may bring minor camera improvements, and feature a 200MP main camera with a wider aperture, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP periscope zoom camera, a 12MP secondary telephoto camera, and a 12MP selfie shooter.
The device is, however, expected to offer some notable upgrades, including a new SoC, faster charging, and an innovative privacy feature that will obscure the screen from side angles to protect it from prying eyes. On the software side, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may include new AI-powered features, such as a revamped Bixby experience powered by Perplexity, new image editing tools, and more.
