Full-size plug-in hybrid SUV combines 501 hp, up to 1,020 km of combined range and first-class cabin technology, priced at AED 159,900
Dubai, UAE, 11 September 2026: Gargash Motors, the official distributor of GAC Motor in the United Arab Emirates, has officially unveiled the GAC GS7 PHEV, bringing GAC’s latest plug-in hybrid SUV technology, performance and premium comfort to the UAE market. The model was unveiled at the GAC Deira showroom in Dubai, the largest GAC Motor facility in the country.
Arriving under the campaign line “Seeing is Believing,” the GS7 PHEV is positioned as a vehicle that goes beyond specifications. Combining electrified performance, long-distance capability, advanced technology and a premium five-seat cabin, the full-size SUV has been engineered to deliver distinctly refined driving and ownership experience.
At the heart of the GS7 PHEV is GAC’s third-generation hybrid system. A 1.5-litre turbocharged engine works with a 36.3 kWh Magazine LFP battery to deliver a combined system output of 501 hp, with power distributed to all four wheels through GAC’s Intelligent Electric AWD and 6-in-1 high-performance transmission.
The result is performance to match its imposing presence. The GS7 PHEV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, reaches a top speed of 185 km/h and offers up to 1,020 km of combined range under CLTC testing. When the battery is depleted, fuel consumption is rated at 6.5 L/100 km under WLTC testing, supported by a 50-litre fuel tank. Drivers can also choose between Comfort, Sport, Eco and Off-road driving modes, allowing the vehicle to adapt to different driving conditions and preferences.
Technology that extends beyond the cabin
Connectivity is another defining feature of the GS7 PHEV. The GAC Mobile Application gives owners convenient smartphone access to selected vehicle functions, making everyday interaction with the SUV simpler and more intuitive. By extending key vehicle functions beyond the cabin, the application adds another layer of convenience to the overall ownership experience.
Measuring 4,900 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height, with a 2,880 mm wheelbase, the GS7 PHEV delivers the commanding proportions expected of a full-size SUV while maintaining a clean and sophisticated design. Its exterior features 20-inch wheels with 255/50 R20 tyres, AI headlights, the Skyline intelligent front light strip, electric hidden door handles, soft-close doors, a memory-function electric tailgate and heated, power-folding mirrors.
First-class comfort for every journey
Inside, the GS7 PHEV takes a distinctly premium approach to passenger comfort. Nappa leather seats with soft headrests are complemented by a suede roof lining, while ventilation and massage functions are available across four seats.
The rear seats have been designed with particular attention to long-distance comfort. The second-row backrest reclines to 137 degrees and includes a memory function, creating a more relaxed and first-class seating experience for rear passengers.
A panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, together with RGB smart surround ambient lighting, adds to the sense of space and sophistication throughout the cabin.
Technology is equally prominent. A 27-inch high-definition head-up display works alongside a 15.6-inch LCD central control screen and an 8.88-inch full LCD instrument cluster, putting key information and vehicle functions within easy reach.
The GS7 PHEV also introduces a 4-zone voice recognition system, allowing occupants in different areas of the cabin to interact with and control selected vehicle functions using voice commands. The result is a more intuitive and connected environment for both driver and passengers.
For an enhanced entertainment experience, the SUV features a 22-speaker, 1,640 W high-fidelity audio system, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide seamless smartphone connectivity.
Acoustic comfort has also been given significant attention. Dual-pane acoustic glass with an acoustic interlayer helps reduce wind and road noise, contributing to a quieter cabin at highway speeds, in traffic and over coarse road surfaces. In electric driving mode, the reduced powertrain noise further enhances the calm and refined character of the interior.
Comprehensive safety and intelligent assistance
The GS7 PHEV is equipped with an extensive suite of passive and active safety technologies, including 10 airbags covering the front, front-side, driver-knee, curtain, second row and twin-chamber far-side positions.
Its driver-assistance systems include Lane Centering Control, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Collision Warning and Emergency Lane Keeping Assist.
A 360-degree HD panoramic camera with transparent chassis view provides enhanced visibility when maneuvering, while Electronic Stability Control and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System add further layers of safety. Adaptive Cruise Control supports the driver in changing traffic conditions, while Fusion Automatic Parking Assist simplifies parking in tighter spaces.
