HIZERO thinks your vacuum cleaner may be doing too much

Walk into almost any home after a busy day and the floor tells a more complicated story than a vacuum cleaner is designed to handle. There might be crumbs under the dining table, a little water beside the sink, hair near the sofa, and the faint trail of dirt that arrived on someone’s shoes. None of it is particularly difficult to clean on its own. The problem is that it doesn’t arrive one type of mess at a time.

HIZERO has built its entire cleaning philosophy around that awkward reality. Instead of asking how much suction a cleaner needs to deal with whatever lands on a hard surface, the company has questioned whether suction should be doing the job at all. Its patented No Suction Technology uses a proprietary bionic polymer roller to collect dry debris and liquid directly from the surface, then separate and manage what it picks up.

The cleaner has become more complicated than the mess

The usual response from the cleaning industry has been to make the machine do more. Motors have become more powerful, rollers more specialised, filters more elaborate, and wet-and-dry cleaners more capable of handling different kinds of debris. Each improvement solves a limitation somewhere in the system, but it also adds another component that has to work properly and be maintained.

Suction remains popular for a good reason. Airflow is effective at lifting loose particles from a surface and moving them into a collection system. Problems start when the material on the floor isn’t simply dust or crumbs. Liquid, hair, food particles, and dirt all behave differently, yet conventional wet-and-dry cleaners still have to accommodate them within a system built around suction.

The compromises are familiar. Solid debris and dirty water can end up together, clogging can affect performance, and the powerful motors used to generate suction bring noise and energy consumption into the process. Exhaust airflow can disturb fine particles, while rollers, filters, tanks, and other components require their own cleaning and maintenance.

HIZERO moves the collection process back to the surface. Its proprietary bionic polymer roller is designed to collect dry debris and liquid directly, while the system separates what it picks up instead of sending everything through the same suction path.

The roller is where HIZERO takes a different route

Conventional fibre rollers and pads generally work as one part of a larger cleaning system. They make contact with the surface while suction, water delivery, filters, and other components handle the rest. HIZERO’s proprietary polymer roller has a more active job. It is designed to collect dry debris and liquid directly from hard surfaces, making the roller central to how the cleaning system works.

The material becomes particularly relevant with the kind of debris that tends to get left behind after the obvious mess has gone. Pet hair, for example, can wind around cleaning components and become another maintenance job rather than something that simply disappears with the rest of the dirt. HIZERO’s system is designed to collect hair and other solid debris as part of the same cleaning process, while keeping those materials separate from the liquid waste it encounters.

HIZERO specifically distinguishes its polymer roller from conventional fibre rollers and pads, making the material a core part of its patented No Suction Technology rather than a supporting component in a suction-based system. The company’s approach puts the collection mechanism at the surface, where the roller is already in contact with the debris.

EAZY Bionic Mop takes the same principle into a manual cleaner. One push-and-pull movement is designed to sweep, mop, wash, and wipe simultaneously. A trigger releases fresh water to refresh the roller, while dry debris and liquid waste are separated for disposal. There is no bucket or cleaning solution, and the mop requires neither a motor nor charging. It can also be rinsed under running water.

The simplicity of EAZY is useful here because there is no complicated automation between the user and the cleaning surface. The roller is doing the collection, the system is managing what it picks up, and the user isn’t switching between a vacuum, a mop, and a bucket to deal with different parts of the same cleanup.

GLIDE puts the idea on autopilot

A manual cleaner is one way to rethink the mechanism. HIZERO has also built the same principle into an autonomous floor cleaner with GLIDE, described by the company as the world’s first no-suction robot cleaner.

GLIDE uses HIZERO’s bionic cleaning system to remove wet messes, stains, debris, and hair. Its waste intake is designed to separate hair, solid waste, and dirty water as they are collected, while the no-suction architecture eliminates the HEPA filters and dust bags associated with conventional suction-based robotic cleaners.

The robot operates at a specified 56dB and has a stated runtime of up to 220 minutes. Its multi-roller system works with dedicated clean- and waste-water tanks in both the robot and station.

The quieter operation has a practical consequence. Cleaning can happen without turning the room into a noisy zone, which matters in homes where people are working, watching television, sleeping, or simply trying to get on with their day. HIZERO also positions the architecture as a way to avoid the clogging and dust blowback associated with suction-based robotic cleaners.

GLIDE also makes the maintenance argument easier to understand. Automation is useful when a robot can handle the cleaning without constant supervision. Having fewer suction-related components to maintain helps keep the machine from turning into another household task.

HIZERO doesn’t stop at the floor

A floor is only one hard surface in a home. Countertops, tables, windows, and other surfaces still collect crumbs, spills, marks, dust, and everyday grime, but they have traditionally been assigned completely different cleaning tools.

HIZERO started taking its technology beyond floors in 2025 with HANDY, a multi-surface cleaner designed to replace the traditional cleaning cloth. The product brought the company’s bionic technology and polymer Multi Roller to hard surfaces beyond the floor, extending the same technology platform into a different kind of cleaning task.

The broader portfolio expanded in 2026 to include hard-floor cleaners, multi-surface cleaners, manual cleaning products, and robotic systems under HIZERO’s No Suction Cleaning Ecosystem. The company lists floors, countertops, windows, and other hard surfaces among its applications, with products intended for both residential and commercial environments.

The commercial use case gives this expansion some weight. A home can tolerate a cleaning routine that takes a little longer or requires another tool. A hotel, restaurant, school, office, or retail space may have hard surfaces being cleaned repeatedly throughout the day. HIZERO positions its products for hospitality and food service as well as offices, schools, retail stores, and public spaces where cleaning is part of keeping the environment ready for the people using it.

The time spent after cleaning counts, too

Cleaning appliances are usually judged while they are running. Pickup, coverage, runtime, navigation, and cleaning performance are easy to see. The less obvious part comes afterward, when the roller needs rinsing, the tank needs emptying, or collected hair has to be pulled away before the machine can be put back.

A few minutes of cleanup after a cleaning session hardly seems worth considering on its own. Repeat the routine several times a week, though, and those minutes become part of the time spent maintaining the home. The machine may have finished cleaning the floor, but the job isn’t necessarily finished for the person using it.

HIZERO’s design addresses that second half of the routine as well. Its system separates solid debris from liquid during collection, while the company’s no-suction architecture removes some of the components associated with conventional suction-based cleaning. The result is a cleaning process designed with the aftermath in mind, not just the moment when the roller is moving across the floor.

The distinction matters even more in places where cleaning happens repeatedly. A hotel, restaurant, school, office, or retail space may need hard surfaces cleaned several times throughout the day. Small maintenance jobs that barely register at home can become a meaningful part of someone’s workload when the same machine is used continuously. HIZERO specifically identifies hospitality, food service, offices, schools, retail, and other commercial environments among its target applications.

At home, the calculation is simpler. Nobody wants a cleaning appliance to become another appliance that needs cleaning. HIZERO’s range reflects that thinking across manual products, autonomous floor cleaners, and multi-surface tools, with the broader aim of giving people more time back from the work of cleaning.
