Honor MagicPad 4 launched as the world’s thinnest tablet with PC-class AI productivity

The new Honor MagicPad 4 has officially been revealed, and it lands as one of the most ambitious tablets ever released by Honor. With a record-breaking design, a cutting-edge 3nm Snapdragon chipset, and a suite of AI-powered productivity features, Honor is positioning the MagicPad 4 as a full-fledged alternative to traditional laptops. The launch marks a major step in the brand’s push toward cross-ecosystem computing, aiming to blend mobility, power, and desktop-class workflow capabilities.

The Honor MagicPad 4 steps into the spotlight as the world’s thinnest tablet

Measuring at an astonishing 4.8mm, the MagicPad 4 is slimmer than the 5.1mm iPad Pro. Weighing around 450g, it becomes the lightest tablet of its size, achieved through Honor’s new “Crescent Structure” chassis reinforced with aerospace-grade fibers. This construction increases stiffness by 30% while reducing weight by 32%, allowing the tablet to remain remarkably durable despite its razor-thin profile.

Even with its keyboard and stylus attached, the full MagicPad 4 setup weighs just 852g, lighter than a 13-inch MacBook Air, meaning you get a highly portable productivity workstation.

Then there’s this 165Hz OLED display

Honor equips the MagicPad 4 with a vivid 12.3-inch OLED display boasting a 93% screen-to-body ratio and a slim 4mm bezel. The panel supports a fast 165Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth scrolling and gaming, alongside a sharp 3000×1920 resolution and peak HDR brightness of 2400 nits, ensuring visibility even outdoors.

Eye comfort plays a major part in the device experience. The MagicPad 4 integrates seven different protective technologies, including 5280Hz PWM dimming, TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free use, and an industry-first AI Chip-Level Defocus system to reduce digital strain. Honor also debuts DOT Eye Comfort Technology for additional visual protection.

Hardware? It’s the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. Period.

The MagicPad 4 becomes the first tablet powered by the new 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, promising next-generation speed, improved efficiency, and high endurance. With an eight-speaker setup featuring Honor Spatial Audio, the tablet creates a surround-sound experience for calls, entertainment, and immersive content.

A 10,100mAh battery paired with 66W Honor SuperCharge ensures rapid recharging and all-day productivity. Thermal management is handled by Honor’s Ice Cooling System – a 13-layer 3D architecture covering more than 81,000 mm² to maintain peak performance during multitasking, gaming, or extended workloads.

PC-class productivity powered by AI and cross-ecosystem connectivity

The MagicPad 4 aims to function as both a tablet and a PC through its dedicated PC Mode. The mode introduces a desktop-like interface featuring a full file system, desktop shortcuts, Alt-Tab and Ctrl-C functionality, taskbars, and a robust multi-window system. This allows users to shift effortlessly between touch-first tablet use and structured laptop-style productivity.

AI integration plays an equally large role. Tools like AI Memo automatically generate meeting minutes, identify speakers, and structure notes in real time. Features such as AI Summary, Smart Reminder, AI Meeting Agent, and AI Voiceprint Noise Cancellation help streamline workloads and enhance communication.

Perhaps the most significant breakthrough is cross-brand connectivity. Through Honor Connect, the MagicPad 4 can serve as an extended display for Mac computers and offers seamless interaction with iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Android devices – breaking traditional ecosystem barriers.

Honor MagicPad 4 pricing and availability

The Honor MagicPad 4 comes in Gray and White, with pre-orders open now and full retail sales beginning March 3rd. Pricing starts at £599.99 for the 12GB model and £699.99 for the 16GB variant. Honor’s strategy here is clear: push tablets beyond entertainment and into true productivity, while embracing cross-platform compatibility as a major differentiator in 2026.

As Honor expands its AI ecosystem, the MagicPad 4 signals a future where tablets increasingly blur the line between lightweight mobility and PC-level capability. For users looking for a thin, powerful, AI-enhanced productivity device that plays well with every ecosystem, the MagicPad 4 arrives as one of the most compelling new options on the market.
