HONOR Stands Out as the Only Smartphone Brand to Grow in the Middle East in H1 2026

HONOR grew 35% in H1 2026, becoming the Middle East’s second-largest smartphone brand and the only leading brand to achieve growth despite a 13% decline in regional smartphone shipments.

Dubai, UAE, August 20, 2026 – The latest insights from Omdia highlight a challenging first half of 2026 for the Middle East smartphone market, with total smartphone shipments declining 13% year on year. Despite this decline, HONOR continued to move in the opposite direction, emerging as the only leading smartphone brand in the region to achieve growth.

According to Omdia, in H1 2026, HONOR’s shipments increased by 35% year on year, significantly outperforming other brands and highlighting the strength of its growing presence across the region.

This strong performance builds on the momentum HONOR established earlier in the year. In Q1 2026, HONOR recorded a 73% year-on-year increase across the Middle East, reflecting strong consumer demand and continued momentum across key markets. Together, these results underline HONOR’s ability to grow and strengthen its position even as the wider market faces challenging conditions.

HONOR Becomes the Middle East’s Second-Largest Smartphone Brand

HONOR’s momentum continued into Q2 2026, when the brand sustained its position as the second-largest smartphone brand in the Middle East. This achievement reflects more than market share gains, it demonstrates the depth of HONOR’s commitment to the region and its long-term investment in building a brand that understands and responds to the evolving needs of Middle Eastern consumers.

From expanding its product portfolio and retail presence to strengthening partnerships and bringing its latest innovations to the region, HONOR is continuing to make the Middle East a strategic priority.

A Diverse Portfolio for Every Consumer

HONOR’s growth is supported by a broad portfolio across smartphones, tablets, wearables, audio and PCs. From the mid-premium Number Series and durable X Series to the premium Magic Series, HONOR continues to bring innovation across different consumer segments.

Seamless Connectivity Across Platforms

HONOR is also making it easier for users to connect across different platforms and operating systems. Furthermore, enhanced compatibility with iOS and Apple devices enables smoother file sharing, collaboration and productivity, giving consumers a more flexible and seamless experience across devices.

A Stronger Position in a Key Market

At a time when the wider market is facing pressure, HONOR’s growth stands as a clear indication of the brand’s increasing relevance in the region. By continuing to invest in products, partnerships, retail presence and consumer-focused experiences, HONOR is not only gaining market share but also strengthening its position as one of the key players shaping the future of the Middle East smartphone market.
