HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series

What Pro Cyclists Track With Power Meters and Sensors, You Can Do With HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series

Imagine a cyclist as if they were an engine, and that the performance of that engine can be gauged through something called cycling power. Simply put, the more power you generate, the faster you go and the harder you push. By understanding your cycling power, you gain deep insights into your current ability on the bike. This knowledge helps you optimise your energy usage and craft a smarter, more effective training strategy.

Traditional cycling power meters tend to be pricey, and setting them up or adjusting them for different bikes can be quite complex. This is enough to put off many cycling enthusiasts. The HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series is the first smart watch to offer cycling virtual power directly on your wrist. This means cyclists can access real-time power data without investing in a dedicated power meter. Delivering precision comparable to professional cycling gear, the watch elevates the riding experience for enthusiasts by offering a more sophisticated and expert-level approach to tracking performance.

All your cycling metrics, right on your wrist

Wind resistance, or air resistance, is the frictional force exerted by air that works against a cyclist’s motion. At higher speeds, wind resistance becomes the dominant obstacle for cyclists. Put simply, much of the energy expended while cycling goes into overcoming this drag. That’s why accurately measuring wind resistance is crucial for determining true power output.

To gather accurate wind resistance data, Huawei teamed up with the state-of-the-art wind tunnel lab. Together, they ran meticulously controlled tests across 1,155 different scenarios, spanning 11 body types, 5 popular bike categories (including road, mountain, commuter, foldable, and shared bikes), and 7 wind speeds ranging from 10 to 50 km/h. The extensive data collected is the bedrock of the advanced cycling power model for the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series.

Thanks to the virtual power algorithm, simply input key details like your height, weight, and bike type, and the watch will calculate your cycling power for you. It keeps the margin of error within ±15 W, almost as precise as a dedicated power meter. Best of all, you can check your cycling power right from your wrist, with no extra equipment needed.

All-in-one cycling companion

The HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series goes far beyond expectations. Equipped with the TruSense system, it monitors your heart rate in real time, while the advanced Sunflower positioning technology precisely tracks speed, distance, and workout routes, covering all the essential metrics found in professional cycling gear. Whether it’s monitoring dynamic heart rate fluctuations, showing your pace in real time, or providing complex route tracking, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series does it all, solidifying its place as your all-in-one cycling companion.
