Ingenieux Brings Fresh Creative Energy to Dubai Watch Week 2025

At this year’s Dubai Watch Week, Ingenieux—Marco Mavilla’s high-horology brand—captured significant attention with a presentation that blended nostalgia, artistry, and mechanical prowess. Instead of a traditional showcase, the brand chose the refined setting of Maison Luxe in Dubai Mall, where collectors and journalists experienced the unveiling of two new limited editions: the Fittipaldi and the StarMoon Goldberger.

For Marco Mavilla, the evening underscored Ingenieux’s philosophy: narratives told through mechanical art. Known for reshaping the fashion-watch landscape with ToyWatch in the 2000s, Mavilla now extends his creative language into the realm of haute horlogerie.

Rather than starting with classical watchmaking, Ingenieux opened with adrenaline. The Fittipaldi chronograph, a 37 mm model in 18-carat yellow gold, revisits the iconic black-and-gold palette associated with Emerson Fittipaldi’s famed 1972 Formula 1 triumph. A tropical black dial, enamel tachymeter bezel, and a vintage Valjoux 726 movement from the 1970s anchor the design in motorsport heritage. With only 72 pieces planned, each individually numbered and engraved, the watch drew immediate admiration—especially with Fittipaldi himself present to endorse the tribute.

The mood shifted with the StarMoon Goldberger, a piece shaped by classical horology and intellectual craftsmanship. Created in homage to collector and scholar Auro Montanari (known globally as John Goldberger), the 18-carat gold timepiece features a gilt dial, gold bracelet, and the celebrated Valjoux 88 calibre. Chronograph, full calendar, moonphase — all presented with a modern softness that appealed to enthusiasts seeking refinement with substance. Its production of 88 pieces mirrors the calibre number, reinforcing the watch’s thematic symmetry.

The brand also spotlighted its core model, the Hepta — a stainless-steel design powered by the Swiss Sellita SW300 movement and offered with a variety of dials, including rare natural stones such as malachite, lapis lazuli, and meteorite. The model is conceived as the everyday expression of the Ingenieux identity.

With Maison Luxe providing a discreet yet elegant backdrop, Ingenieux closed the week as one of the standout rising voices in contemporary watchmaking — a maison bridging Italian emotion with Swiss precision, and steadily building a following of discerning collectors.
