The Gentis Group Co-Founder and Group CEO joined industry leaders to examine how AI is reshaping work across marketing, media and AdTech, and why human judgement will remain a decisive advantage
Dubai, 22 September 2026: International recruitment leader Stéphanie Reniers addressed the impact of artificial intelligence on careers and workplace culture at IAB MENA’s AI, Adtech and Me summit in Dubai on September 21.

Speaking on the panel The Human Advantage: Building Careers in an AI-Driven Industry, Reniers joined Abdelnabi Alaeddine, Céline Gauthier-Darnis, Souade Derbouz, and Tony Evans to explore how AI is changing roles and career paths across marketing, media, publishing, broadcasting, agencies, and AdTech.
The discussion examined the skills organisations need to develop AI-ready teams, while keeping human judgement, creativity, and trust at the heart of decision-making. Panellists also considered the implications of AI for leadership, learning, recruitment, and workplace culture.
“Every industry going through this shift is really asking the same question: which parts of our work can a machine do better, and which parts still need a human being to own and decide the outcome?” said Reniers. “In hiring, that means using AI to work faster and see further but never outsourcing the judgement call about someone’s career. I believe the same applies to decisions across other industries.”
As Co-Founder and Group CEO of Gentis, an international recruitment and talent advisory firm specialising in STEM and strategic sectors, Reniers brought a recruitment leader’s perspective to the discussion. She is also the Co-Founder of Wiggli, an AI-enabled hiring platform, giving her direct insight into where AI can improve decisions about people – and where its application can be detrimental.
The panel took place as AI adoption continues to accelerate across the region’s workforce. According to LinkedIn’s Future of Recruiting 2025 report, 37% of organisations were experimenting with or integrating generative AI into recruitment, while PwC’s AI Jobs Barometer found that UAE job postings requiring AI skills nearly doubled between 2021 and 2024.
Gentis established its Middle East and Africa headquarters in Dubai in October 2022 in response to evolving regional demand. The business focuses on executive, finance, technology, and Emiratisation-related recruitment, with a further office planned in Riyadh.
“When we opened our doors in Dubai, this was already a market moving so quickly that leaders had little time to overthink their next hire,” Reniers added. “If anything, AI has accelerated that pace. Leaders and applicants now have much smarter tools to support faster decisions. My interest isn’t simply in the technology itself; it’s in making sure it enables people in a way that is intelligent, ethical, and sustainable.”
