Dubai, UAE – The vibrant flavors and cutting-edge innovations of Korean cuisine were on full display at a premier pavilion event, where 12 leading K-Food export companies showcased an impressive selection of products tailored to Middle Eastern consumers.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore a diverse range of authentic and innovative Korean offerings, including ramen, beverages, dumplings, ginseng, health foods, kimchi, bulgogi sauce, and fresh fruits. These products were carefully curated to cater to the region’s unique culinary preferences, reflecting Korea’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the Middle Eastern food market.

Yongpil Jeon, Director of aT Center Dubai, expressed his enthusiasm about the event, stating, “Gulfood has been remarkably impressive and has presented a significant opportunity for Korean food exports in the Middle Eastern market. We are planning to showcase an even larger and more diverse Korean pavilion next year.”

A major highlight of the pavilion was the “K-Food Cooking Show,” an engaging live demonstration featuring a renowned local chef. The interactive session captivated audiences as the chef crafted creative dishes using the showcased Korean ingredients, illustrating the versatility and appeal of K-Food in contemporary Middle Eastern cuisine. The show not only enhanced appreciation for Korean gastronomy but also provided valuable insights for local buyers looking to incorporate these products into their offerings.

Surging Demand for Korean Food in the Middle East

Korean food exports to the UAE have experienced remarkable growth, reaching USD 270 million in 2024—a significant 8.6% increase from the previous year. Key product categories driving this expansion include noodles, beverages, ginseng and red ginseng products, vegetables, and fresh fruits. These figures underscore the growing appetite for Korean flavors in the region, fueled by an increasing interest in global culinary experiences and the health benefits associated with traditional Korean ingredients.

As Korean cuisine continues to gain traction worldwide, events like this pavilion showcase play a crucial role in fostering cross-cultural culinary exchange and reinforcing Korea’s position as a global food leader.
