LG revives Wallpaper as the world’s thinnest wireless OLED TV and it’s stunning

Less than a week ago, LG introduced the Gallery TV, a new line-up of minimalist art-inspired TVs that take on the Samsung Frame TV lineup. Today, LG has lifted the covers from its most ambitious TV product yet, the Wallpaper TV, reviving a formula that first landed in 2017.

A charming return

At CES 2026, the company is showcasing the LG OLED evo W6 as the reincarnation of its Wallpaper Design TV, and it’s plain gorgeous. The thickness of this TV, which is mounted on a glass canvas, stands at roughly 9 millimeters across. LG says achieving the new look required a “complete re-engineering of its internal architecture.”

The company has redesigned the wall mount, which apparently allows the Wallpaper TV to sit flush against the wall. But there’s more to this TV than just clean looks. The OLED panel relies on LG’s Hyper Radiant Color Technology, which sets a brightness record for the Wallpaper lineup.

Additionally, the luminance levels (brightness, in broad terms) are said to be 3.9 times higher compared to an average OLED TV. The company says this panel also achieves the lowest reflectance across its entire TV lineup, while delivering deeper blacks and improved color contrast.

Plenty to see beyond the looks

The 4K panel on this TV supports a 165Hz refresh rate, and it’s ready for NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium, as well, to please gaming enthusiasts. Of course, it won’t be a 2026 product without the mention of AI, and LG is no exception.

“Activated by voice or the Magic Remote, users can access the new ‘In This Scene’ feature for cast details and related content, with the novelty of generating images with AI,” says the company. Another cool feature on LG’s Wallpaper TV is VoiceID, which identifies the voice signature of a person and accordingly shows them a personalized dashboard of content.

The LG OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV is powered by a new α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen3 silicon, which features an onboard NPU with 5.6 times higher AI performance output. The built-in Dual AI Engine performs parallel algorithmic processing to enhance image quality, texture, and noise suppression without any overt sharpening.

Another attraction is the wireless design, mirroring a minimalism strategy similar to the Samsung Frame TV Pro. The Zero Connect Box ensures lossless 4K visuals in wireless mode and can be placed up to ten meters away from the TV. LG hasn’t revealed the official pricing yet, but we’ll know soon enough.
