Microsoft expands Agent 365 availability to the UAE as organizations move to govern AI agents at scale

Need for stronger governance as UAE government aims to transform 50% of government sectors, services, and operations to implement autonomous Agentic AI models within two years

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 16 September 2026: Microsoft today announced at GISEC Global 2026 that Microsoft Agent 365 will be available to customers in the UAE data centre starting October, giving organizations a unified control plane to observe, govern and secure AI agents as adoption moves from experimentation to enterprise-scale deployment.

The announcement comes as organizations across the UAE rapidly expand their use of agentic AI, creating a growing need for stronger visibility, governance and security. As agents gain greater access to enterprise data, applications and systems, that governance gap becomes increasingly consequential.

Agent 365 is designed to help organizations address this challenge by extending enterprise-grade management, identity, data protection and security controls to AI agents. It acts as a unified control plane that enables IT and security teams to maintain oversight as the number and autonomy of agents operating across an organization grows.

Agent 365 brings together capabilities across three core areas: observability, governance and security. A central agent registry and mapping capabilities help organizations discover and understand agents operating across their environment, including Microsoft-built, third-party and custom agents.

Organizations can also apply governance across the agent lifecycle, including controlled onboarding, access and security policies, lifecycle management and audit trails of agent actions and interactions. This gives IT and security teams a consistent way to manage agents as deployments scale across the enterprise.

Security capabilities extend Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Defender protections to agents, helping organizations secure agent identities, manage access to applications and data, protect sensitive information, and identify threats and risky behavior.

Amr Kamel, General Manager, Microsoft UAE, said: “As AI agents move from pilots into everyday business operations, the real test is whether organizations can scale them with the right governance, security and accountability in place. In the UAE, adoption is moving quickly but readiness is not yet keeping pace. Frontier organizations will be those that can bring people and AI agents together across their operations with trust built in from the start. Making Agent 365 available in the UAE is one step towards closing that gap, giving organizations the foundation to scale agentic AI responsibly, securely and with confidence.”

The launch builds on Microsoft’s broader work with organizations across the UAE to support the secure and responsible adoption of AI. As AI agents become a more integral part of enterprise operations, Microsoft is helping organizations put the visibility, governance and security foundations in place to scale their use with confidence.
