  • Compete to ride as slowly as possible without touching the ground.
  • Prizes include gift vouchers, with up to AED 19,000 for the winners.

Abu Dhabi – UAE: Following the success of its first season, the Slow Cycle Race is back for an exciting second edition at Mushrif Mall. In partnership with the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club, this year’s event will take place from July 18 to 20 and July 25 to 27, 2025. This unique competition challenges participants to maintain balance and control by riding as slowly as possible without their feet touching the ground.

Building on the momentum of Season 1, the race is expected to attract even more participants and spectators. Open to everyone aged 15 and above, the event promotes balance, control, and patience, offering a fun alternative to traditional cycling races.

Held in Mushrif Mall’s atrium, the event will provide a comfortable indoor setting for both participants and spectators. The first five days feature open qualifiers, with the top performers advancing to the finale on Day 6.

Prizes, awarded in the form of gift vouchers, include AED 10,000 for 1st place, AED 5,000 for 2nd, AED 2,500 for 3rd, AED 1,000 for 4th, and AED 500 for 5th.

Mr. Biju George, General Manager of Line Investments & Property SP LLC, shared: “We’re excited to bring the Slow Cycle Race back for another season. It’s a fun and inclusive event that promotes a healthy lifestyle while offering a unique challenge.”

Mr. Riyas Cherichi, General Manager of Mushrif Mall, added: “After a fantastic first season, we are thrilled to host this event once more. We can’t wait to see both new and returning participants enjoy the challenge.”

With Season 2, Mushrif Mall continues to provide a memorable and engaging experience. The event promises even more excitement, community involvement, and a chance to showcase skill in a fun, accessible setting.
