Dubai Chambers signs MoU with Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry to strengthen trade and investment

  • H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah:“We are committed to enabling Indian companies to benefit from Dubai’s competitive advantages.”

Dubai, UAE –Dubai Chambers has signed in Bengaluru a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) to deepen cooperation and support the growth of trade and investment between Dubai and the Indian state of Karnataka.

Under the terms of the MoU, the two parties will develop tailored mechanisms to support the expansion of Karnataka-based companies into Dubai. Businesses will also receive comprehensive support to establish branches and headquarters in the emirate and capitalise on emerging opportunities across diverse sectors. This will include information on regulatory requirements and data on promising markets.

H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, said: “We are committed to strengthening cooperation between the business communities in Dubai and India, including Karnataka, and expanding economic partnerships that support the growth of bilateral trade and investment. Our goal is to enable Indian companies to capitalise on Dubai’s competitive advantages, including its strategic position as a hub to access regional and global markets and its status as a leading destination for business and investment across a wide range of sectors.”

As part of the agreement, the two parties will organise joint business events to showcase promising business and investment opportunities, exchange market insights, and strengthen cooperation between the business ecosystems in Dubai and Karnataka. They will also work together to facilitate reciprocal trade missions and business delegations.

In 2025, Dubai International Chamber opened a representative office in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, building on the launch of its first office in India in Mumbai during 2018. The Bengaluru office supports efforts to strengthen cooperation between companies in Dubai and India and enables the chamber to work closely with the Indian business community. It also contributes to strengthening relationships with key public and private sector stakeholders and promoting Dubai’s competitive advantages as a global business destination.

The MoU forms part of Dubai Chambers’ ongoing efforts to strengthen engagement with strategic markets worldwide and build effective channels of cooperation between Dubai’s business community and international partners. It also reflects Dubai Chambers’ commitment to advancing cross-border partnerships and creating new opportunities for international collaboration.
