As travellers across the Middle East begin planning their Eid holidays, Thailand continues to stand out as one of the region’s most popular long-haul destinations. With vibrant cities, tropical islands and warm hospitality, the country offers an ideal setting for families and groups looking to celebrate the festive break somewhere memorable.

Thailand maintains it’s spot as one of the most sought after destinations for Eid breaks from Middle Eastern travellers.

Recent tourism figures show strong travel momentum from the Middle East. Thailand welcomed more than 39 million international visitors in 2025, nearing pre-pandemic levels and reinforcing the country’s status as one of Asia’s most visited destinations. The Middle East remains one of the fastest-growing markets, with nearly one million visitors from the region travelling to Thailand in 2025, many choosing the country during major holiday periods such as Eid.

Thailand remains safe and fully open to travellers from the Middle East and neighbouring regions, including those planning their Eid break. With well-developed tourism infrastructure, convenient air connections from major Gulf cities and a long-standing reputation for hospitality, the country continues to welcome visitors seeking both relaxation and exploration.

Thailand’s diversity of destinations makes it particularly attractive for Eid travel. Many visitors begin their journey in Bangkok, where riverside dining, luxury shopping and cultural landmarks provide a dynamic introduction to the country. The capital’s mix of contemporary experiences and traditional markets offers something for every member of the family.

Beyond the city, Thailand’s beaches remain a major draw. Phuket continues to be one of the most popular island destinations for Middle East travellers, known for its luxury resorts, beach clubs and island-hopping excursions. Nearby, travellers can discover quieter beaches and hidden coves that offer a more secluded tropical escape.

Koh Samui offers another favourite Eid retreat, with palm-lined beaches, private villas and wellness resorts that cater to both couples and families. For travellers looking to explore further, the dramatic limestone landscapes and turquoise waters of Krabi provide a striking backdrop for island adventures and sunset beach walks.

Thailand’s appeal during Eid goes beyond scenery. Renowned cuisine, vibrant night markets and welcoming hospitality create a festive atmosphere that complements the spirit of the holiday.

With convenient flight connections from the Gulf and a variety of destinations within a single country, Thailand continues to attract Middle East travellers seeking an Eid getaway that blends relaxation, exploration and celebration.
