The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), in collaboration with retail pioneer ‘Union Coop’, hosted a special ceremony to honor a group of individuals who have successfully memorized the Holy Quran in its entirety. The event took place at the Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Mosque, celebrating the recipients’ remarkable efforts and dedication to memorize and recite the Quranic verses, while encouraging them to continue their blessed journey.

Dr. Omar Mohammed Al Khatib, Executive Director of the Islamic Affairs Sector at IACAD, and Dr. Suhail Al Bastaki, Chief Community Relations Officer at Union Coop, attended the event, alongside several employees from both organizations.

In his speech, Dr. Al Khatib expressed IACAD’s pride in its ongoing support for Quran memorization centers and their students. He stated, “At the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, we are committed to promoting the islamic values of tolerance among youth and providing continuous support to Quran memorizers, who serve as shining examples for our community.”

Dr. Al Bastaki for his part emphasized that the recognition of Quran memorizers reflects Union Coop’s commitment to its corporate social responsibility. He highlighted that these achievers are a testament to determination and perseverance, adding, “This initiative aims to promote religious values within the community and inspire future generations to engage in Quran memorization.”

This celebration is part of the joint efforts by IACAD and Union Coop to support Quran memorizers and strengthen the role of Quran memorization centers in nurturing generations enriched with noble Islamic values.
