  • Bin Sulayem: Union Day is a time to take pride in the achievements of the UAE, which has become a global model of progress and development

On the occasion of the UAE’s 53rd Eid Al Etihad (Union Day), His Excellency Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC), extended his warmest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai; their fellow Members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes; and to the people and residents of the UAE.

In his message, Bin Sulayem stated: “Union Day is a celebration of pride and honor, marking the remarkable achievements of the UAE’s union, which has established itself as a global role model in civilization and development. At PCFC, we remain committed to the vision of our wise leadership, and we pledge to continue advancing in all fields. We renew our loyalty to our beloved nation and its leaders, dedicating ourselves to serving the country and enhancing its global standing”.

The PCFC marked the UAE’s 53rd Union Day with a vibrant and patriotic celebration, attended by His Excellency Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation; His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs; along with executive directors and employees from various organizational units.

In his opening remarks during the event, His Excellency Nasser Al Neyadi emphasized the significance of Union Day as a moment to reflect on the vision of the UAE’s founding fathers, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who laid the foundation for a modern nation that leads globally in innovation, trade, and sustainability.

The celebrations included a colorful and energetic performance by children from Al Shorouq Nursery, showcasing their love for the nation through a musical presentation. Additionally, the event featured a special performance by a traditional Harbiya band, symbolizing the UAE’s rich heritage and deep national pride.

Other activities included interactive cultural competitions with prizes, a heritage village showcasing Emirati traditions such as Arabic coffee, a vintage-style store, traditional sweets, pottery workshops, and Talli (hand embroidery) demonstrations.

Attendees expressed their gratitude for the visionary leadership of the UAE, reaffirming their commitment to contributing to the nation’s continued success and progress.
