Truebell Expands Backwaters Kerala Restaurant to Fujairah – Grand Opening on September 10

FUJAIRAH: A new chapter in Kerala’s culinary journey is about to unfold in the heart of Fujairah. Celebrated culinary artist Chef Biju Mathew is proud to announce the grand opening of the second branch of Backwaters Kerala Restaurant, set to open its doors on September 10, 2025, at the prestigious Tennis Club, Fujairah.

Renowned for his passion, precision, and deep-rooted love for authentic Kerala cuisine, Chef Biju Mathew, originally from Cochin, Kerala, began his culinary career in 1999 after completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, a rigorous three-year program that ignited his lifelong devotion to food.

With a professional journey that has taken him across India, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, Chef Biju has cultivated a reputation for delivering soulful, high-quality dishes that pay tribute to Kerala’s coastal flavors while embracing global finesse. One of the most notable milestones in his career was his five-year tenure cooking for the legendary Indian actor Mr. Mohanlal, a role that speaks volumes about his talent, discretion, and attention to detail.

For the past five years, Chef Biju has been the creative force behind Backwaters Kerala Restaurant, a culinary destination that has captured the hearts of food lovers through its authentic, elevated take on traditional Kerala cuisine. Now, the journey continues with the launch of Backwaters’ second location in Fujairah, promising the same heartwarming flavors, elegant ambiance, and impeccable service — with a few new surprises in store.

Opening Ceremony Highlights
The grand opening on September 10th is set to be a spectacular celebration, featuring:
A menu unveiling with exclusive launch buffet
A lineup of live performances
And a very special guest appearance by a South Indian superstar

This is more than a restaurant launch — it’s a celebration of Kerala’s rich culinary heritage, brought to life by one of its most dedicated ambassadors.
