10th Annual Career Fair Marks Rising Industry Confidence in Homegrown Graduates

Dubai, UAE: In a strong signal of shifting talent acquisition trends, UAE-based employers are increasingly tapping into the fresh talent pool at BITS Pilani Dubai Campus (BPDC)—a trend that was on full display at the university’s 10th Annual Career Fair, held recently at its campus in Dubai International Academic City.

This year’s fair saw a record participation of 79 UAE-based companies, representing a 43.6% increase from the previous edition. The roster included over 20 multinational corporations such as Alpin, Deriv, Schindler, Beiersdorf, Danway, and HelpAG, along with leading local conglomerates like Al Shirawi Group, Emirates Post, and Taurani Holdings. High-growth SMEs also contributed to the diverse mix of recruiters, reflecting widening interest across the UAE’s business spectrum in sourcing fresh, skilled graduates locally.

Industry participation spanned key growth sectors like AI-engineering, IT, Manufacturing, Fintech, Sustainability Consulting, EPC, and Consumer Goods. The robust turnout not only underscores BPDC’s strong academic-industry linkage but also reaffirms its growing reputation as a pipeline for future-ready professionals.

“This career fair reflects not just the scale of our ambition, but the strength of our student-industry ecosystem,” said Professor Souri Banerjee, Director of BITS Pilani Dubai Campus. “We are proud to serve as a trusted talent source for leading employers in the UAE.”

Chief Guest Dr. Bu Abdullah, Chairman of Bu Abdullah Investment Group, added “BITS Pilani Dubai has long been a beacon of excellence, and today’s event reflects its commitment to empowering students with opportunities to shape their futures.”

The event was BPDC’s first-ever paperless career fair, aligning with its sustainability goals. Over 1,800 digital applications were processed through a dedicated app, and more than 200 students were marked as favourites by recruiters—further validating the industry’s growing confidence in BPDC graduates.

As the UAE’s economy advances towards innovation and localization, BITS Pilani Dubai Campus is fast becoming a preferred destination for employers seeking agile, skilled, and industry-ready talent.
