External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday arrived in the UAE on an official visit. He is expected to discuss wide-ranging issues of partnership with his counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two leaders will also deliberate on the situation in Gaza.
According to ANI, the Ministry of External Affairs , in an official statement, said “this visit will provide an opportunity to review the entire spectrum of comprehensive strategic partnerships between India and UAE and regional and global developments”.
Meanwhile, Jaishankar visited the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi after he arrived in the UAE.
Following his visit to the temple, Jaishankar shared some pictures on X and wrote: “Blessed to visit the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi today.”
“A visible symbol of India-UAE friendship, it radiates a positive message to the world and is a true cultural bridge between our two countries,” he said.

The BAPS temple, which is the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on February 14. Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence for the UAE, Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan, was also present at the inauguration.
The bilateral relations between UAE and India have been advancing for many years now, characterised by cooperation in various fields, and deep-rooted historical, cultural and economic ties.
Both countries signed a comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA) in February 2022 to boost economic engagement.
Most recently, the inauguration of the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple further strengthened the ties between the two countries.
