Dubai Senior Citizens Happiness Center Honors Union Coop for Supporting ‘Ihsan’ Animal Welfare Initiative

DUBAI, UAE:

The Dubai Senior Citizens Happiness Center has honored Union Coop in recognition of its outstanding support and meaningful contribution to the success of the ‘Ihsan’ Animal Welfare Initiative, launched by the center to promote kindness towards animals and provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for cats. The recognition was presented during a special ceremony held at the center’s premises, attended by a number of officials and employees.

Representing Union Coop, the award was received by Mr. Shuaib Al Hammadi, Director – Community Relations, Union Coop. The recognition highlights Union Coop’s support for the ‘Ihsan’ initiative through the provision of cat food and cat litter, helping ensure the proper care and welfare of cats residing in the dedicated cat garden established by the center. The initiative forms part of the center’s broader efforts to encourage animal welfare awareness, promote compassionate practices, and contribute to environmental sustainability.

Commenting on the recognition, Mr. Mohamed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop, said: “We are honored to receive this recognition, which underscores the value of collaboration between community institutions in advancing impactful humanitarian initiatives. Our support for the ‘Ihsan’ initiative reflects Union Coop’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to supporting programs that foster compassion, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.”

He added: “We firmly believe that meaningful partnerships are essential to creating sustainable and positive change. Through our community initiatives, we remain committed to supporting programs that enhance quality of life and serve different segments of society, in alignment with the UAE’s vision of strengthening the values of giving, social cohesion, and community well-being.”
