Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 21 November 2023 – Get ready to lace up your running shoes as the world’s largest fun run – Dubai Run presented by Mai Dubai – is set to make its grand return on Sunday 26 November as the exciting finale of Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) 2023.

The iconic Sheikh Zayed Road will once again be transformed into the world’s largest running track for this inclusive, non-competitive community event that welcomes everyone to join in the fun, no matter age or running ability, and at no cost. Supported by Sun & Sands Sport, Dubai Run offers two route options – the 5km Downtown course or the challenging 10km Sheikh Zayed Road route – that take runners past some of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks:

  • 5km Downtown stretch  | for runners of all ages and skill levels, this route begins on Sheikh Zayed Road near the Museum of the Future and passes by the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Opera, ending near Dubai Mall.
  • 10km Sheikh Zayed Road route  | for experienced runners looking for a more demanding route, the 10km route starts at Museum of the Future, crossing the Dubai Canal bridge, before looping along Sheikh Zayed Road and finishing near DIFC Gate.

With a whole host of special moments in store for participants, Dubai Run will kick off with a Dubai Police supercar parade, led by Dubai Run automotive partner Nissan, promising an extra dose of excitement and fun for all.

Registration for both routes is free. Participants can secure their spot by signing up on the website and choosing their desired route. Upon registration, a QR code will be issued, which is essential for collecting bibs. Pick up is set until 25 November at Run and Ride Central in One Central from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM from Monday to Friday and from 10:00 AM to midnight  on Saturday. Anyone without a bib will not be able to take part.

Dubai Run is one of the most anticipated events of DFC, an initiative launched in 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, to transform Dubai into one of the world’s most active cities and support its broader vision to become the world’s best city to live in, work and visit. A total of 193,000 runners, joggers, wheelers and walkers participated in Dubai Run last year, setting a record for the number of participants and making it the largest community fitness event in the world.

Whether you choose to run solo, with friends, or with your family, Dubai Run 2023 promises to be the biggest and event yet. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience – register via https://www.dubairun.com/ and be a part of history in the making!
