  • ACI World’s Annual ASQ Awards recognise airport excellence in customer experience for third consecutive year
  • Passengers worldwide vote Zayed International Airport best for arrivals experience
  • Continued commitment to customer experience sets a benchmark for airports worldwide

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – 11 March 2025: Zayed International Airport (AUH) has been crowned “Best Airport at Arrivals Globally” by the Airports Council International (ACI) World at the 2024 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards. This prestigious recognition solidifies AUH’s position as a leading global aviation hub and gateway to Abu Dhabi and highlights its commitment to seamless and exceptional arrival experience.

Welcoming nearly 29 million passengers in 2024, Zayed International Airport continues to redefine the travellers’ experience with its state-of-the-art facilities. The airport boasts world-class facilities, significantly enhanced operational capacity, and a relentless focus on passenger comfort and efficient processing, ensuring an exceptional welcome to Abu Dhabi.

Elena Sorlini, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “Receiving this prestigious award for the third consecutive year is a significant validation of our commitment to delivering a world-class arrival experience at Zayed International Airport. More than just an accolade, it reflects our dedication to extending Abu Dhabi’s renowned hospitality to every passenger. We remain steadfast in our dedication to providing seamless and memorable first and last impressions, ensuring a smooth journey from arrival to departure. This recognition inspires us to continually elevate our standards, contributing to Abu Dhabi’s ongoing success as a leading global aviation hub.”

The ASQ Awards stands as the aviation industry’s most comprehensive and trusted global benchmark for airport customer experience. Nearly 700,000 passenger surveys were completed in 2024, representing over half of the world’s travellers passing through ASQ-rated airports. Distinguished by their exclusive reliance on passenger feedback, the ASQ Awards provide a definitive measure of customer satisfaction, reflecting the true voice of the traveller.

ACI World Director General Justin Erbacci, said: “Congratulations to Zayed International Airport for meeting and exceeding passenger expectations! Your success in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards reflects the dedication your team puts into making each passenger’s journey memorable. You’ve set a new standard for excellence, one that leaves a lasting impression on travellers and inspires airports around the world.”

Zayed International Airport’s 2024 achievements, including significant expansion of its airline network and routes, establish a strong foundation for Abu Dhabi’s continued growth and prominence on the global stage. This prestigious award not only recognises AUH’s commitment to a superior passenger experience but also highlights its pivotal role in attracting businesses, tourists, and investment to the emirate. By consistently exceeding expectations, AUH is positioning Abu Dhabi as a premier global destination and strengthening its role as a vital connector in the global travel network.
