Umm Al Quwain: The World Park for Peace marked the launch of its groundbreaking initiative, Green Desert, today in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain under the esteemed patronage of the Umm Al Quwain Municipality. The event took place at Falaj Al Mualla Park, where participants—both adults and children—donated and planted a total of 340 trees, including ghaf and neem, symbolizing a collective step towards sustainability and harmony with nature.

The Green Desert initiative aims to travel across the seven Emirates, creating awareness about the importance of sustaining peace through environmental conservation. The project’s ultimate mission is to inspire more people to contribute to the betterment of the planet, fostering a sense of responsibility toward nature and community.

Speaking about the initiative, Aurela Cuku, founder of Artissima Group Investments, said:“Where art meets the land, and where the touch of children sustains the future. Everyone is invited to be part of this journey. The world needs peace, and we are here to take action.Planting these trees is more than an act of environmental care.It is a symbol of hope and unity. Each tree represents a step toward peace, sustainability, and a brighter future for generations to come.“

Artissima Group Investments, located in Villa 2, Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood in Bur Dubai, is the creative and administrative hub for The World Park for Peace. Known for its dedication to art and peace activities, Artissima plays a pivotal role in bridging creativity with sustainability.

The event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Colors for Peace Association, Prity Bhattacharya, Dr. Archana Singh, and Nirvana Gardening, whose collective contributions ensured the event’s success.

The initiative was a meaningful gathering, uniting people from diverse backgrounds under the shared vision of peace and environmental stewardship. Green Desert is just the beginning of a series of impactful activities aimed at creating a more harmonious world.
