Logitech’s Mobi Fold is a pocketable folding mouse for folks who despise trackpads

Laptop trackpads are fine until you get really busy. Editing a spreadsheet in an airport lounge, juggling tabs in a café, or trying to do proper work on a tiny hotel desk can make you miss the convenience of a mouse. Logitech has the answer to this with the new Mobi Fold, its first ultra-portable foldable mouse.

While a small portable mouse is something people carry, many choose to skip the added bulk, simply choosing to bite the bullet with the trackpad. But the Logitech Mobi Fold can simply fold flat, and can later be unfolded when you need to work. This makes it pretty convenient to carry. Logitech even made the mouse to automatically power on when opened and turn off when folded.

A pocket mouse built for work

Mobi Fold is built around a folding mechanism that turns a pocket-sized accessory into a more traditional mouse shape. Logitech says the design reduces muscle strain by 22% compared to a laptop trackpad, based on its ErgoLab testing. The mouse also has Adaptive Touch Scrolling, which lets users move between precise line-by-line scrolling and faster navigation through longer documents or spreadsheets.

There are also two customizable buttons on the touch panel that can be assigned to shortcuts through the Logi Options+ app. It connects to up to three devices over Bluetooth and supports Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS, and Linux. Logitech is also calling it the company’s first input device to receive Fast Pair certification for quick pairing with compatible Google devices.

Built for people working on the go

Logitech is clearly aiming this at people that often work from outside the typical office or home space. The company found that while 72% of professionals own a mouse, only 26% use one while working in public places. The gap, according to Logitech, comes down to bulk and inconvenience.

Logitech Mobi Fold on a desk

Mobi Fold tries to solve that with a lightweight body, quiet clicks, and a dust-resistant silicone sleeve. It is also rated to withstand 15 years of daily use. Battery life also looks travel-friendly, with just a minute of charging offering up to 22 hours of use, while a full charge lasts up to 30 days.

The standard Logitech Mobi Fold is priced at $79.99, $119.99 CAD, €79.99, or £69.99. It comes in Graphite, with Lilac and Off-White available in select markets. There is also Mobi Fold for Business, priced at $89.99, $129.99 CAD, €84.99, or £74.99. That version adds a Logi Bolt USB-C receiver, Sync support for IT monitoring, and a two-year limited hardware warranty.
