The Galaxy Z Fold 8 could go soft on colors, and the minimalist in me is really excited

Exclusive renders from Android Headlines show the purported Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 in four colors, and for once, the colors don’t look boring or repetitive to me.

This is not a Titanium Black or deep navy blue situation it usually is with flagship smartphones or foldables. Samsung is going soft, and honestly, it could be the breath of fresh air Samsung’s foldable lineup needs.

So what colors might Samsung actually offer?

Standard retail gets three options: Cream, Graphite, and Lavender (via Android Headlines). I’ll agree that these are pretty standard across smartphones in 2026, but it’s the fourth option that sounds different to me.

The outlet talks about a new Pistachio color, but it doesn’t share its render. That gives more credibility in my opinion, as it’s mentioned as a Samsung exclusive color: only available at Samsung’s official website.

I’m imagining it could look similar to the Galaxy S24 FE’s Mint finish, but lighter, offering a soft, muted, pastel aesthetic that makes you want to carry your phone without a protective case. The Fold 8 in the Lavender also falls in the same category, at least for me.

It also appears to be the correct design philosophy for a phone aimed at winning over first-time foldable buyers, young people who’re looking for fun and vibrant colors rather than the stealthy aesthetics of dark finishes.

Galaxy S24 FE

What else does the report mention?

Unlike the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which is taller and more traditional in its proportions (similar to the Fold 7), this wide variant comes in a shorter, broader format with a 5.5-inch outer screen at a 16:10 aspect ratio.

Open it up, and you are already in landscape mode on a 7.6-inch display, resulting in a phone that is fundamentally different from what the foldable category usually offers.

Samsung is not trying to make this look like a slab. It is trying to make it look new, and the color palette supports that.

Anyways, keep in mind that the colors are still leaks and Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything just yet. However, we aren’t too far away from the Galaxy Unpacked on July 22, 2026, when Samsung’s wide foldables break cover with the Fold 8 Ultra and the Flip 8.
