Abu Dhabi University’s College of Business Becomes the First and Only to Achieve the AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA “Triple Crown” Status in the GCC

Abu Dhabi, UAE – August24, 2026:Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has achieved a major international milestone, with the official accreditation of its Master of Business Administration (MBA) programby the Association of MBAs (AMBA). With this recognition,ADU’s College of Businessbecomes the first and only local, non-branch business school in the GCC and second in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to attainthe “Triple Crown” status, by holding simultaneous accreditations from AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA.

The Triple Crown achievement by ADU further strengthens the global standing of its business education, as this distinction is held by fewerthan 1% of business schools globally and under 150 institutions worldwide.

Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor ofAbu Dhabi University, said:“AchievingAMBA accreditation for our MBA Program, which has led to the College of Business receiving the Triple Crown status is an important milestone for Abu Dhabi University. It reflects ourlong-term commitment to delivering internationally recognized, quality business education, ensuring that our students gain the knowledge, skills and perspectives needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving global economy. This achievement further reinforces our contribution to the UAE’s knowledge economy,in preparing future leaders who can create meaningful impact across the region and beyond.”

AMBA is one of the world’s leading specialist accreditation bodies for postgraduate management education, representing the highest international standards in MBA education. Its rigorous accreditation process evaluates programs across areas including teaching and curriculum quality, career development and employability, and student, alumni and employer engagement. A strong emphasis is placed on ensuring that MBA learning is relevant to industry and translates into meaningful career and workplace impact for graduates.

Professor Jean-Paul Arnaout, Dean of the College of Business at Abu Dhabi University, said: “AMBA accreditation means something very specific for our MBA students: their program has been independently benchmarked against some of the most rigorous international standards in postgraduate business education, with a strong emphasis on quality, career impact and engagement with industry. At the College level, adding AMBA to AACSB and EQUIS completes our Triple Crown and places us among a very small group of business schools worldwide. What makes this particularly meaningful is that we have built a business school that combines international standards with deep industry engagement while remaining firmly connected to the UAE and our region. This is the result of a decade of work by our faculty, students and staff, and we intend to keep raising the bar.”

As part of the accreditation process, ADU’s College of Business was commended across five areas: its decade-long commitment to quality; agile and relevant curriculum; state-of-the-art campus infrastructure; academic and practical faculty expertise; and diverse student cohort. The assessment validates ADU’s practical expertise and research-informed teaching and opens doors for partnerships with premier business schools for collaboration, exchange and rollout of dual-degree programs.

The accreditation further builds on ADU’s strong performance in international rankings. The university’s Business and Economics subject area is ranked #1 in the UAE and the Arab region in the Times Higher Education (THE) Subject Rankings 2026, while its MBA Program is ranked among the top 151–200 globally in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2026.

With an MBA employment rate of 93.4% and a growing network of more than 3,450 MBA alumni across public and private sector organizations globally, ADU’s College of Business continues to shape futures of leaders and economies worldwide.
