Dubai Celebrates Chinese New Year with Thrilling Festivities and Experiences Citywide
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 13 February 2024 – With its dynamic fusion of tradition and innovation, Dubai emerged as an exciting destination to ring in the Year of The Dragon. The highlight of the celebrations was the spectacular drone show surrounding the Burj Al Arab. With over 1,500 drones creating a 300-metre-long Chinese dragon, it was a groundbreaking display that captivated audiences and showcased the city’s technological prowess, marking the first instance of drones manoeuvring around a building.
Dubai Festival City Mall offered a range of experiences, including the dynamic Dancing Dragon performance and the immersive IMAGINE show. The finale, which featured fireworks that lit up the sky, provided a vibrantend to the celebrations.
Dragon Mart celebrated the Chinese New Year with a lively array of performances, including the Big Dragon Dance, Lion Dance, Dragon Kung Fu Dance, Peking Opera Show, and Umbrella Dance. The festivities also included a Dragon Head Lantern Making Workshop.
La Perle extended special offers on tickets, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy the Year of the Dragon festivities in full. Families had the opportunity to engage in various activities, including face painting and meet-and-greets with iconic characters.
IMG Worlds of Adventure and Dubai Parks & Resorts also joined in the celebrations, hosting vibrant shows and parades, magic shows, street performances, and interactive experiences.
