ASUS Zenbook S14 and S16 just got a big AI upgrade — here’s what’s new

ASUS is refining and polishing its latest Zenbook lineup. With the Zenbook S16 and Zenbook S14 now available in the U.S., the brand is doubling down on performance, design, and a heavy dose of on-device AI.

AI is everywhere right now, and ASUS is leaning into it in a way that actually makes sense. Both the Zenbook S16 and S14 are designed to handle AI tasks locally, enabling faster processing, smoother workflows, and reduced reliance on the cloud. Whether it is creative tools, multitasking, or general system responsiveness, the idea is simple: your laptop should keep up without hesitation.

Zenbook S16: A laptop that does it all

The Zenbook S16 is built for those who want performance without compromise. It runs on the latest AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series processors, delivering up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance. That translates to faster AI-driven tasks, smoother multitasking, and a system that does not slow down when things get demanding. You also get a 16-inch 3K 120Hz OLED display, which is great for both work and entertainment, paired with a six-speaker setup that actually sounds as good as it should.

Thermals have been improved as well, with a larger vapor chamber designed to keep things cool and quiet. All of this sits inside a sturdy all-metal body with a Ceraluminum lid, available in Scandinavian White and Antrim Gray. Pricing starts at $1,899.99, placing it firmly in premium territory.

Zenbook S14: Light as air

The Zenbook S14 takes a different approach. It is all about portability without sacrificing performance. At just 0.47 inches thin and 2.65 pounds, it is easy to carry around, but it still packs Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with noticeable performance gains and improved efficiency. You also get up to 50 TOPS of AI performance, which keeps it aligned with the S16 in terms of capability. Despite its slim profile, ASUS has managed to include a capable cooling system, a 14-inch 3K 120Hz OLED display, WiFi 7, and a full set of ports, which is always a relief. It starts at $1,999.99, which definitely enters the premium category.

Computer, Electronics, Tablet Computer

Both the Zenbook S16 and Zenbook S14 are now available in the U.S. through Best Buy and the ASUS Store.
