Foreign tourist groups on cruise ships will now be able to enter China visa-free via the country’s ports, it was announced on Wednesday. Groups consisting of two or more individuals — which are arranged or hosted by domestic travel agencies in China — are eligible for visa-free entry into the country through designated cruise ship ports in 13 cities, China Daily reported. A helicopter used by the Afghan air force crashed as it attempted an emergency landing in central Afghanistan on Wednesday, killing one person and injuring 12, the defence ministry said. Gold prices continued their upward trend at the opening of the markets in UAE on Thursday, jumping Dh4 per gram in the past 24 hours. The 24K variant of the yellow metal jumped Dh0.75 per gram to Dh289.5 at 9 am UAE time as against Dh288.75 at the close of the markets on Wednesday. Netflix’s ad-supported tier, which launched in 2022, is proving a big hit with subscribers.
